Proper Installation Height

The recommended installation height to optimize motion sensor performance is around 2.5m (8.2ft) above the ground, but not higher than 5m (16.4ft). The motion detection zone can reach up to 10m (32ft) with a detection angle of 170°.

Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the recommended installation height for the floodlight camera, showing a person installing it on a wall at approximately 2.5m (8.2ft). A cone shape indicates the motion detection range extending outwards up to 10m (32ft).

Connection Preparation

Install the Floodlight Camera within Wi-Fi coverage for optimal performance. Ensure your smartphone is connected to your wireless router. The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only and does not support 5GHz. Compatible smartphones require iOS 9.0 or Android 4.4 and above. Tablets, Mac, or Windows computers are not supported. Avoid using special characters or symbols in your Wi-Fi network name and password.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows a router, a floodlight camera, and a smartphone, illustrating the recommended wireless connection setup. The recommended distance between the camera and router is shown as 11.8-39.37 inches (30-100cm).

Installation Steps

Step 1: Shut Power Off at the Breaker. Turn off power to the work area at the main circuit breaker or fuse box. Consult a licensed electrician if unsure about turning off power.

Step 2: Preparation. Ensure all parts are present by comparing them with the parts list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not proceed with assembly.

Step 3: Wiring.

Diagram Description: A wiring diagram shows the connection of wires. The LIVE wire from the house connects to the LIVE wire of the fixture. The NEUTRAL LINE from the house connects to the NEUTRAL LINE of the fixture. Wire nuts are used for secure connections.

Step 4: Mounting.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the mounting bracket being attached to the junction box. It illustrates how the EVA gasket should be used to seal the gap between the mounting surface and the bracket for wet locations. It also shows screws securing the bracket. A note indicates that the raised part (RA) of the metal plate must engage with the recessed part (RE) of the base for proper installation.

Step 5: Restore Power at the Breaker. After restoring power, the lights will turn on, and the Floodlight Camera will announce it is in setup mode.

For wet locations, ensure the gap between the EVA gasket and the mounting surface is fully sealed with sealing compound or silicone glue.
