Aqara Home App Installation and Connection
1. App Installation
Use an Android phone or tablet to scan the QR code or search for "Aqara Home" on Google Play to download the app. For iPhone or iPad users, search for "Aqara Home" in the App Store to download and install the app.
[Visual Description: A QR code labeled "QR code for Android terminals".]
2. User Registration
Open the Aqara Home app. Follow the app prompts to complete user registration. The user can choose the server in the upper right corner based on their current area.
HomeKit Mode: This mode allows users to skip Aqara's user account registration and directly add devices to Apple HomeKit. HomeKit mode supports functions not available in the standard Aqara Home app, such as adding sub-devices to the camera or updating its firmware. However, users cannot watch device video or use two-way voice intercom in this mode. HomeKit mode is exclusively supported by Apple terminals like iPhone and iPad.

8. Configure Wi-Fi and Password
Ensure the device and your mobile phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Avoid using spaces or special characters (like `, @, #, %, $, etc.) in your Wi-Fi name or password. The device supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks, not 5 GHz.
After the app generates a QR code, align the camera lens with the mobile phone's QR code, maintaining a distance of approximately 15cm. The device will announce voice prompts: "QR code scanning successful. Please wait", "Wi-Fi connected successfully", and "The account is bound successfully. Welcome aboard". Once all three prompts are heard, the device is successfully bound.

Remote Viewing Note: To enable remote video viewing via the HomeKit app (e.g., using a 4G network when away from home), you must configure an Apple home hub device (such as an iPad, Apple TV, or HomePod) within the same local network. This hub acts as a bridge for remote control of HomeKit-enabled devices. For detailed settings on configuring a home hub, please refer to: https://support.apple.com/zh-cn/HT207057
