Aqara Camera Hub G2H User Manual

Product Introduction

Aqara Camera Hub G2H is an intelligent hardware product that integrates dual functions of camera and hub. It has functions such as video intercom, motion detection, sound detection, and Micro SD card recording. It can also be used as a Zigbee hub in collaboration with other sensors, controllers and other child-devices to realize the functions such as home guard, data reporting and smart control. It also supports for HomeKit Secure Video, activity detected by supported cameras is privately analyzed by your home hub using on device intelligence to determine if people, pets, or cars are present.

Quick Setup

1. Download the Aqara Home app

Scan the QR code [QR Code Placeholder] or search for 'Aqara Home' on the App Store. Download and install the app.

2. Power on and start up

Connect the USB power cable to the power jack on the back of the product and connect to the power adapter. The red indicator light will flash upon successful startup.

If the red indicator light does not flash, long press the reset button and try again.

The setup involves connecting the device via USB to a power adapter plugged into a wall socket.

Adding the Camera

Connect to Aqara Home

Open the Aqara Home app, tap '+' on the homepage, select 'Camera Hub G2H', and follow the on-screen prompts. A solid blue indicator light signifies successful connection.

Troubleshooting Connection to Aqara Home:

• Ensure connection to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
• Wi-Fi name/password with special characters may cause issues; use ordinary characters.
• The camera does not support WAP/WAP2 Wi-Fi networks.
• Ensure the phone screen is at least 4 inches and free from back-lighting for QR code scanning.
• Check router settings for Wi-Fi connection watcher or AP isolation functions that might cause network failures.
• Avoid connecting to a bridge network.

Connect to Apple HomeKit

Open the Apple Home app, tap '+' in the upper right corner, select 'Add Accessory', and scan or manually enter the HomeKit Setup Code from the bottom of the camera.

Troubleshooting Connection to Apple HomeKit:

• "Failed to add accessory": Restart your iOS device and reset the camera to clear iOS cache.
• "Accessory already added": Restart your iOS device and reset the camera; then add manually.
• "Accessory not found": Wait 3 minutes after resetting the camera, then try adding manually.

The 'Works with Apple' badge indicates the accessory is designed to work with Apple technology and certified by the developer. Apple is not responsible for device operation or compliance with safety standards.

A 10-day recording history is stored securely in iCloud and viewable via the Apple Home app. Recordings do not count against iCloud storage limits.

Communication with HomeKit-enabled devices is secured by HomeKit technology.

Adding Child Devices

After successfully adding the camera, use the Aqara Home app to add child-devices as described in the user manual.

Product Installation

1. Ensure the camera is added successfully before installation.
2. Place the camera on a horizontal surface like a desk, table, or bookcase.
3. The magnetic base can attach to ferrous materials (e.g., refrigerator, iron door). Avoid placing near computers or hard drives.
4. For smooth surfaces (e.g., glass, tile, latex wall), use 3M double-sided tape to attach the magnet, then attach the camera to the magnet.

Ensure the installation position is within Wi-Fi coverage and away from strong electromagnetic interference. The product is for indoor use only and should not have obstacles around it.
