Setup and Connections
Recommended Placement

It should be at least 10 cm (4") from the wall behind it and 5 cm (2") from any side walls. The subwoofer should be at least 1m (3ft) from the wall.
Connecting the Subwoofer
Connect the subwoofer to the soundbar using the provided cable via the 'SUBWOOFER OUT' port on the soundbar.
Connecting to Your TV

Power Connection

Key Features
Pre-defined EQ Settings

With the remote control, select the pre-defined EQ (equalizer) settings for your audio playback. Options include NEWS, MOVIE, and MUSIC.
Voice Mode

Activate Voice mode using the dedicated button on the remote for enhanced dialogue clarity.
Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect via Bluetooth:
- Press and hold the [BT button] on the remote control for 3 seconds.
- On your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and select "JBL CINEMA SB140" from the list of available devices.
Ensure your device is within 10 meters (33 feet) of the soundbar.
Software Update

For software upgrades, download the latest firmware from www.jbl.com. Transfer the update files to a USB drive. Connect the USB drive to the soundbar and follow the on-screen prompts or instructions. USB playback functionality is available in the US version only; for other versions, USB is for service purposes only.
