Product Overview
The JBL CINEMA SB120 is a soundbar designed to enhance your audio experience. It is a compact, sleek device that can be placed on a TV stand or mounted.
Recommended Placement: For optimal listening, position the soundbar in front of your TV, typically on a stand. The recommended viewing distance is between 2.5 to 3.0 meters (8.2 to 9.8 feet) from the soundbar.
Connections
Connect your TV or other audio sources to the soundbar using one of the following methods:
- HDMI ARC: Connect the soundbar to your TV's HDMI ARC port using an HDMI cable. This is the preferred method for audio and control.
- OPTICAL: Connect the soundbar to your TV's optical audio output using an optical cable.
Powering On and Basic Setup
- Connect the power cord to the soundbar and plug it into a power outlet.
- Use the remote control to turn on the soundbar. The power indicator light will illuminate.
Bluetooth Pairing
Connect your Bluetooth-enabled devices wirelessly:
- Press the Bluetooth button on the remote control or the soundbar to enter pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, search for "JBL CINEMA SB120" in your Bluetooth settings and select it to connect. The device will indicate when it is connected.
Note: Bluetooth range is up to 10 meters (33 feet).
Audio Modes (EQ Settings)
Select from pre-defined equalizer (EQ) settings to optimize audio playback for different content:
- Movie: Enhances dialogue and cinematic sound.
- Music: Provides a balanced audio profile for music.
- Voice: Clarifies dialogue for better intelligibility.
Use the remote control to cycle through these modes.
Software Updates
Software updates can be performed via USB. Please note that USB playback functionality is available only in the US version of the product. For other regions, the USB port is for service purposes only.
