Before You Begin

Placement Guide

For optimal sound experience, consider the following placement guidelines:

• Detachable speakers should be placed 1-1.4 m (3-4.6 ft) from the main listening position.
• The soundbar should be placed 2.5-3.0 m (8.2-9.8 ft) from the main listening position.
• Ensure at least 10 cm (4") clearance above the soundbar and 5 cm (2") clearance on the sides for ventilation.
• Position the subwoofer behind the main listening area for best bass performance.
• The TV should be placed at a distance of more than 4 m (13 ft) from the primary listening position.

Connecting Your Soundbar

Connecting to Your TV (HDMI ARC/eARC)

Use the included HDMI cable to connect the soundbar to your TV. Connect the HDMI cable from your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC port to the HDMI OUT (TV ARC/TV eARC) port on the soundbar. If you have other devices like a Blu-ray player or game console, connect them to the HDMI IN ports on the soundbar.

Ensure all devices are powered on.

Setup and Power On

1. Connect the power cables to the soundbar and the subwoofer, then plug them into a power outlet.
2. Insert the AAA batteries into the remote control.
3. Power on the soundbar. The detachable speakers and subwoofer will attempt to pair automatically. You may see "HELLO" and "LOAD" indicators during this process.

Charging Detachable Speakers: If the rear speakers show "REAR SPKR LOW BATT", connect them to a power source using the USB-C port to charge. A full charge typically takes around 4 hours.

Automatic Pairing

The soundbar automatically pairs with the detachable speakers and the subwoofer when they are powered on. Ensure all components are within range and powered.

Sound Calibration

Optimize your 3D surround sound experience for your unique listening environment. Follow these steps:

1. Step 1: Place the detachable speakers in their desired locations. Press the CALIBR button on the remote control. Press it again to confirm. The display will show "1-CALIBRATION", then "CALIBRATING", and finally "1-DONE".
2. Step 2: For enhanced surround sound, adjust the detachable speakers to a 45-degree angle towards the listening position. Press the CALIBR button on the remote control again. The display will show "2-CALIBRATION", "CALIBRATING", and "2-DONE".

This calibration process ensures the best possible audio immersion.

Bluetooth Mode

You can use the detachable speakers as standalone Bluetooth speakers for music playback. They can also be paired together to create a stereo music system with Left (L) and Right (R) channels.

• Ensure the detachable speakers are within 10 m (33 ft) of your Bluetooth device.
• To pair, switch to Bluetooth mode on your device and select "BAR 1300X REAR SPK" from the list of available devices.
• Connecting the two detachable speakers creates a stereo pair.

Wi-Fi Setup with JBL One App

To connect your soundbar to your home Wi-Fi network, use the JBL One app available on Android™ and iOS devices.

1. Download and open the JBL One app.
2. Follow the in-app instructions to add your soundbar and complete the Wi-Fi setup.
