Precautions:
- Never press buttons underwater.
- Do not set the time or operate the crown underwater.
- If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.
- Avoid wearing the watch on a leather strap while swimming. Prolonged contact of leather straps with water should be avoided.
Care and Maintenance
General Care:
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Wear the watch carefully to avoid impacts and drops.
- Do not fasten the band too tightly; a finger should fit between the strap and your wrist.
- Clean the watch and band with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances like gasoline or solvents.
- Store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc., as these can damage the case, gaskets, and finish.
- Be cautious when cleaning bands with silk-screened designs to avoid damaging the graphics.
For watches with plastic bands:
- A whitish powdery substance may appear on the band. This is harmless and can be removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can damage or crack plastic bands. Wipe them with a soft cloth to ensure longevity.
For watches with fluorescent cases and bands:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause fading. Wipe off any moisture immediately.
- Contact with other damp surfaces can cause discoloration. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Friction on fluorescent paint can cause it to transfer to other surfaces.
Condensation:
- Minor condensation may form inside the glass due to rapid temperature changes. This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.
CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any damage or claims arising from the use of this watch.
Basic Operations
Crown Operation:
- The crown on this watch is lockable. Always unlock the crown before performing operations.
- To lock the crown, push it in and turn it clockwise until it stops.
- To unlock, turn the crown counter-clockwise.
Fast Hand Movement:
- This feature allows for rapid adjustment of hands and indicators.
- Mode HS1: Fast movement of all hands and indicators.
- Mode HS2: Fast movement of hour and minute hands for manual time setting.
- To start fast movement, pull out the crown and quickly rotate it 3 full turns in the desired direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise). Movement continues after releasing the crown.
- To stop fast movement, rotate the crown one turn in the opposite direction or press any button.
Note: If the crown is pulled out for more than 2 minutes without any operation, all crown functions will be locked.
Power Management
Charging the Watch:
- This watch uses a solar panel and a rechargeable battery. Keep the watch exposed to light to charge the battery.
- Charging is faster in bright light.
- When not in use, leave the watch in a well-lit area.
Battery Level Indicators:
- Press and hold button B for about 2 seconds to display the battery level in TIME mode.
- H (High) / M (Medium): All functions are operational.
- L (Low): Second hand moves at 2-second intervals; some functions may be disabled.
- CHARGE (Flashing): Battery is critically low. Charge immediately. All hands move to the 12 o'clock position, and all functions are disabled.
Battery Recovery Mode (RECOVER):
- Frequent use of backlight, alarms, or sensors may cause the RECOVER indicator to flash. This means the watch is in battery recovery mode, disabling functions like backlight, alarms, and sensor operations.
- Recovery takes about 15 minutes. Normal function resumes once the indicator stops flashing.
- If RECOVER flashes frequently, the battery is low and needs charging.
Power Saving Mode:
- The watch enters power saving mode automatically when left stationary for a period.
- Screen Sleep Mode: Screen darkens, second hand stops.
- Watch Sleep Mode: Screen darkens, all hands move to the 12 o'clock position, all functions except current timekeeping are disabled.
- Power saving is disabled between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
Time Calibration
Radio-Controlled Time Calibration:
- Your watch can automatically receive a time signal to keep accurate time. It supports reception from stations in Japan, North America, Europe, and China.
- Automatic Reception: The watch attempts to receive the signal up to 6 times a day (5 times in China) between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
- Manual Reception: You can initiate reception by pressing specific buttons.
- Reception Indicators: L1, L2, L3 indicate signal strength. GET indicates successful reception, ERR indicates failure.
- Precautions: Avoid strong magnetic fields, electrical interference, and ensure the watch is placed correctly (12 o'clock position towards the signal source).
Manual Time Setting:
- If radio-controlled calibration is not possible, you can set the time and date manually. This involves setting the Home City code, Daylight Saving Time (DST), year, month, day, hour, and minute.
Watch Modes
This watch features multiple modes for various functions:
- Current Time Mode: Displays current time, date, and day of the week. Allows for manual settings.
- World Time Mode: Displays time for up to 29 time zones (29 cities) worldwide and UTC. Allows swapping Home City and World Time City.
- Altimeter Mode: Measures altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Requires calibration for accuracy.
- Barometer Mode: Measures atmospheric pressure and displays trends.
- Digital Compass Mode: Indicates magnetic north and allows for bearing measurements. Requires calibration.
- Thermometer Mode: Measures ambient temperature.
- Stopwatch Mode: Measures elapsed time, split time, and two finish times (up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds).
- Timer Mode: Countdown timer with a maximum setting of 60 minutes.
- Alarm Mode: Up to 5 daily alarms and an hourly time signal.

Auto Light: Enable or disable the auto backlight feature, which activates the backlight when the watch is tilted towards you in low light.
Button Tone: Enable or disable the beep sound when buttons are pressed.
Troubleshooting
Time Issues:
- Incorrect time after radio calibration: Check Home City code and DST settings. If manual setting was performed, radio calibration might have reset it.
- Watch gains or loses time: Ensure radio calibration is functioning or set time manually. Check DST settings.
Sensor Issues:
- Altimeter/Barometer/Compass/Thermometer readings inaccurate: Ensure calibration is performed correctly. Check for environmental factors (magnetic fields for compass, temperature for altimeter/barometer).
- ERR indicator displayed: May indicate a sensor malfunction or strong magnetic interference. Refer to specific sensor sections for details.
Power Issues:
- Watch not charging: Ensure exposure to sufficient light. Battery may be critically low (CHARGE indicator flashing).
- RECOVER indicator flashing: Watch is in battery recovery mode. Charge the watch.
Other:
- Auto backlight not working: Check if enabled, ensure low light conditions, and that the watch is not in a mode that disables it (e.g., radio calibration, compass mode).
