Know Your Device

The FMC234 is a waterproof GPRS/GNSS tracker with a high-capacity battery. It features a 2x6 socket, GNSS antenna, Micro SIM slot, and battery socket. It also has a status LED and a navigate LED.

Top View: Shows the 2x6 socket.

Bottom View (without cover): Shows the GNSS antenna.

Wiring Scheme

The wiring scheme illustrates the connections for various functions including ignition detection, alarm button, fuel gauge, analog sensor, door sensor, buzzer, LED lights, power supply, and central lock. It also shows connections to ALL-CAN300, LV-CAN200, CAN-CONTROL, temperature sensors, and iButton.

Set Up Your Device

How to insert Micro-SIM card and connect the battery:

  1. Partly Closed Device: You will receive your device partly closed.
  2. Cover Removal: Gently remove top and bottom covers.
  3. SIM Card Insert: Insert SIM card with PIN request disabled. Ensure the SIM card cut-off corner points outward from the slot. SIM slot 1 is closer to the PCB, SIM slot 2 is the top one. Refer to the Teltonika Wiki for detailed instructions.
  4. Battery Connection: Connect the battery as shown, ensuring it does not obstruct other components.
  5. Attaching Cover Back: After configuration, attach the device top and bottom covers back and press them to fully close.
  6. Completely Closed Device: Ensure the product casing is closed correctly.

Important: The device has an IP67 casing with a two-phase closing for reliable protection. Ensure corner clips are tight and the cable is connected correctly.

PC Connection (Windows)

  1. Power up the FMC234 with a 10-30 V DC power supply. Observe LED indications.
  2. Connect the device to your computer via Micro-USB cable or Bluetooth®.
    • Micro-USB Cable: Install USB drivers as described in the "How to install USB drivers (Windows)" section.
    • Bluetooth® Wireless Technology: Enable Bluetooth® on your PC, select "Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth", choose your device (e.g., "FMC234_last_7_imei_digits"), enter the default password "5555", connect, and select "Done".
  3. The device is now ready to be used on your computer.

How to Install USB Drivers (Windows)

  1. Download COM port drivers from the provided link.
  2. Extract and run `TeltonikaCOMDriver.exe`.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts, clicking "Next" and "Install".
  4. Click "Finish" to complete the driver installation.

Configuration

The FMC234 device comes with default factory settings. To change these settings, use the Teltonika Configurator software. The Configurator operates on Microsoft Windows OS and requires the MS .NET Framework. Ensure you have the correct version installed.

The Configurator software allows you to manage various settings, including GPRS, server settings, and data acquisition parameters. Detailed information can be found on the Teltonika Wiki.

Configurator Functionality:

The Status window provides information on GNSS, GSM, I/O, and Maintenance. User-editable profiles can be loaded and saved.

Quick SMS Configuration

You can quickly set up your device by sending an SMS command with the following format:

`setparam 2001:APN;2002:APN_username;2003:APN_password;2004:Domain;2005:Port;2006:0`

Note: Insert two space symbols before the SMS text.

After SMS configuration, the device synchronizes time and updates records. Time intervals and I/O elements can be adjusted via Teltonika Configurator or SMS parameters.
