Note: Actual appearance may differ from illustrations.

The crown has two positions when pulled out.

To operate the screw-down crown: rotate it counterclockwise until it releases from the case. After operation, press it against the case and rotate clockwise to tighten it firmly.

Refer to the website for detailed usage of the scale and bezel: [citizenwatch-global.com support link].

Checking the Power Reserve

  • The power reserve is not indicated when the power reserve indication hand points to "READY".
  • Measurement functions cannot be used when the power reserve level is "0". Current time is still visible. Frequent use of measurement functions reduces power duration.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to [Crown Position 2] when the second hand points to 0 second.
  2. Rotate the crown to set the time.
    • Ensure the AM/PM setting is correct.
    • The date indication changes to the next day when the time passes 10 PM. Rotating the crown counterclockwise does not change the date indication backward.
  3. Push the crown in to [Crown Position 0] according to a reliable time source to finish.

Setting the Date Indication

Important: Do not adjust the date indication between 10:00 PM and 0:00 AM. Doing so may cause incorrect date changes.

Date indication adjustment is required for March, May, July, October, and December on their first days.

  1. Pull the crown out to [Crown Position 1].
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise to set the date indication.
  3. Push the crown in to [Crown Position 0] to finish.

Water Depth Measurement

When the water sensor contacts water for about 2 seconds, the power reserve indication hand points to "READY", and the water pressure sensor begins water depth measurement.

How to read water depth indication

  • Power reserve indication hand: Returns to power reserve indication as measurement starts, and the water depth hand moves.
  • Maximum water depth hand: Indicates the maximum diving depth during a measurement.
  • Water depth hand: Indicates the current water depth.

Diagram description: A watch face showing the water depth measurement display. It highlights the power reserve indication hand, water depth hand, maximum water depth hand, and the water pressure sensor. The dial shows depth markings.

Indication range of water depth

0-70 m. Unit: 1 m (for 0-40 m), 2 m (for 40-70 m).

Finishing measurement

To finish water depth measurement, press and hold the upper left button [Button A] for 5 seconds or more after removing the watch from water and wiping the water sensor and other parts dry.

When the depth goes beyond the indication range

The water depth hand and maximum water depth hand will point to "OVER". The water depth hand will stop indicating "OVER" and show the current depth once the detected depth returns within the indication range.

Diagram description: A watch face showing the "OVER" indication for both the water depth hand and maximum water depth hand.

About the "OVER" indication

"OVER" may appear if the water sensor remains wet or if there is a sudden change in water depth. Refer to the full instruction manual for details and guidance.

About the rapid ascent warning alarm

The rapid ascent warning alarm sounds when the watch detects an ascent rate equivalent to 9 meters per minute.

Diagram description: An icon representing a warning alarm.

Checking the rapid ascent warning alarm

  1. Press and release the lower left button [Button B] while the crown is in [Crown Position 0]. The maximum water depth hand will indicate the maximum diving depth for 10 seconds.
  2. Press and release the upper left button [Button A] while the maximum depth is indicated. The alarm will sound for 10 seconds. Press [Button B] to stop the alarm.

Reviewing the Maximum Water Depth Record

The maximum water depth hand displays the maximum diving depth recorded for each measurement. The stored maximum depth record can be viewed after finishing a measurement.

  1. Press and release the lower left button [Button B] while the crown is in [Crown Position 0]. The maximum water depth hand will indicate the maximum diving depth.
  2. Press and release the lower left button [Button B] to finish the procedure. The maximum water depth indication automatically ends after approximately 10 seconds without button input.

Checking the Reference Position

  1. Check the power reserve. Charge if the power reserve level is lower than "2".
  2. Pull the crown out to [Crown Position 2]. The watch stops, and the water depth hand and maximum water depth hand move to their current reference positions. The power reserve indication hand points to "READY" after quivering.
  3. Check the reference position.
    • Correct reference positions: Water depth hand: 0 m (3 o'clock position). Maximum water depth hand: 0 m (3 o'clock position).
    • The hour, minute, and second hands, power reserve indication hand, and date indication do not have a reference position.
  4. Push the crown in to [Crown Position 0] to finish the procedure.

If the current reference position differs from the correct one, adjust it using the steps in "Correcting the Reference Position".

Correcting the Reference Position

  1. Check the power reserve. Charge if the power reserve level is lower than "2".
  2. Pull the crown out to [Crown Position 2]. The watch stops, and the water depth hand and maximum water depth hand move to their current reference positions. The power reserve indication hand points to "READY" after quivering.
  3. Press and hold the lower left button [Button B] for 2 seconds or more. The water depth hand moves to the 10-second position, and the maximum water depth hand is ready for reference position adjustment.
  4. Press and release the upper left button [Button A]. Each press moves the hand by one step. The hand moves continuously while the button is held down.
  5. Press and release the lower left button [Button B] to switch the hand to be corrected. The maximum water depth hand moves near the 10-second position, and the water depth hand becomes ready for reference position adjustment. Each press of [Button B] switches the target hand.
  6. Press and release the upper left button [Button A]. Each press moves the hand by one step. The hand moves continuously while the button is held down.
  7. Push the crown in to [Crown Position 0] to finish the procedure.

Resetting the Watch — All Reset

  1. Check the power reserve. Charge if the power reserve level is lower than "2".
  2. Pull the crown out to [Crown Position 2]. The watch stops, and the water depth hand and maximum water depth hand move to their current reference positions.
  3. Press and hold the upper left button [Button A] and the lower left button [Button B] simultaneously for 4 seconds or more. Upon releasing the buttons, the hands will move slightly to indicate that the reset is complete.

After All Reset

After performing an All Reset, adjust the reference position and set the time and date.
