Charging Controller Via USB
For best results, fully charge the controller prior to first use.
- Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the other end to any powered USB source.
- When charging, the Battery Status LED will flash AMBER.
- When fully charged, the LED will be solid GREEN.
- The LED will flash RED when the battery is low.
Wireless Modes
2.4 GHz Wireless Mode
- Insert the wireless adapter into an open PC USB port.
- Select "RF" on the mode switch located on the bottom of the controller.
- If the controller is off, press the Home button (icon) to turn it on (LED will illuminate WHITE).
- Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash WHITE rapidly).
- The LED will turn solid WHITE when connected.
Bluetooth Wireless Mode
- Select "BT" on the mode switch located on the bottom of the controller.
- If the controller is off, press the Home button to turn it on (LED will illuminate BLUE).
- Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash BLUE rapidly).
- On your device, navigate to Bluetooth settings.
- Select "Battle Dragon Adv L". The LED will turn solid BLUE when connected.
Note: A previously paired device will automatically pair to the controller when powered on.
Wired Mode USB
- Select "USB" on the mode switch located on the bottom of the controller.
- Using the included USB-C Cable, connect to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the other end to an available USB port on your PC.
- If the controller is off, press the Home button to turn it on (LED will illuminate GREEN).
Switching Modes - XInput and Direct Input (2.4 RF / USB Wired Mode Only)
- Press and hold the SELECT and START buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- The LED indicator will flash 3 times to indicate the mode has been changed.
- To change modes again, press and hold the SELECT and START buttons for 3 seconds until the LED flashes 3 times.
Trigger Lock Adjustment
The trigger lock allows you to adjust the trigger pull depth for quicker actuation. There are three positions available:
- Position 1 (Short Pull): Offers the shortest trigger pull for rapid firing.
- Position 2 (Medium Pull): A balanced trigger pull for general gaming.
- Position 3 (Long Pull): Provides a longer trigger pull for more precise control.
To adjust, twist the analog cap clockwise until it clicks into the desired position.
PC HQ App | PowerA
The PC HQ app allows you to test, calibrate, and customize settings on your controller. Connect your controller to a Windows 10/11 PC via USB-C cable to:
- Update firmware to the latest version.
- Test controller buttons, analog controls, vibration functionality, and audio.
- Recalibrate analog inputs for proper control response.
- Set trigger and thumbstick deadzone/active area.
- Set rumble force vibration intensity.
- Remap buttons, including the Advanced Gaming Buttons.
You can create custom profiles for different games or players and push up to three profiles to your controller for convenient access via the PROFILES button during gameplay. Download the PC HQ app from the Windows Store.

Quick-Twist Adjustable Analog Stick
The analog stick height can be adjusted to one of three heights:
- Standard
- Medium
- Tall
To change heights, twist the analog cap clockwise until it catches the next height notch. Twist a second time for the tallest height. To return to the standard height, twist the analog cap a third time.
Powering Off
Hold the Home button for 5 seconds to turn the controller off.
Profile Settings
Custom user profiles can be set using the PowerA PC HQ app on a PC. You can set and save up to 3 custom profiles, which will then be loaded onto the controller. Each profile is assigned a different color to indicate which one is selected. Pressing the PROFILES button cycles through the profiles (3 → 1 → 2 → 3). The Program Status LED will quickly flash 3 times to signal a profile change.
To clear profiles or change settings, use the PowerA PC HQ app.
Turbo Setting
- Press and hold one of the A, B, X, or Y buttons you wish to set to Turbo.
- While holding the button, press the Turbo button.
- The Program Status LED will flash 3 times to indicate Turbo has been set.
- Press the Turbo button again to disable Turbo.
Lumectra LED Control
Ghost Lumectra LED Control
LED Modes: Cycle through LED modes by quick-tapping the LEDS button. To customize a mode, press and hold the LEDS button for 2 seconds. The top housing will flash GREEN 3 times to indicate program mode is active. The controller will not function with the PC in LED program mode. Exit LED programming by holding the LEDS button for 2 seconds; the top housing will flash GREEN 3 times.
- WAVE: LEDs move across the controller in various directions, either in a rainbow effect or a single color.
- ZONE: Includes SOLID, BREATHING, and CYCLE modes for customizable zones.
- FLAME: Controls the flame animation originating from the Dragon's mouth.
Turn ON/OFF LEDs: Simultaneously quick-press the VIEW + MENU buttons.
Note: Lumectra settings can also be controlled via the PC HQ app when the controller is connected via USB-C cable to a Windows 10/11 PC. Lumectra settings can be saved to a profile in PC HQ, and up to 3 profiles can be pushed to your controller.
LED Mode Adjustment: Wave Mode
Customize Wave Mode:
- Press Left on the D-Pad to switch between rainbow cycle and single-color wave modes.
- Press Right on the D-Pad to cycle through wave directions:
- Center Radial
- Outer Radial
- Vertical Bounce
- Left Wave
- Right Wave
- Downwards Wave
- Upwards Wave
- Horizontal Bounce
- In single-color mode, adjust brightness and select a color using A (green), B (red), X (blue), or Y (yellow) buttons. Press the selected button repeatedly to cycle through 6 shades of that color.
LED Mode Adjustment: Zone Mode
The controller features 4 customizable zones on the top housing. Each zone can be set independently for color, mode, speed, and brightness, or turned off.
- To enter LED Program Mode, hold the LEDS button for 2 seconds when ZONES MODE is selected.
- The current programmable Zone will flash 3 times. Press RIGHT on the D-PAD to toggle through the 4 Zones (Zone One is the default).
- Select a color using A (green), B (red), X (blue), or Y (yellow) buttons. Press the selected button repeatedly to cycle through 6 shades of that color.
- Press LEFT on the D-Pad to program the zone's light effect: “Solid”, “Breathing”, or “Cycle”.
- Press D-Pad up/down or left/right triggers to adjust the zone's brightness level.
- In program mode, press the LEDS button once to turn off the current zone independently. Press LEDS again to turn it back on.
- Press the VIEW button to toggle through speed settings for the current zone. Press the MENU button to toggle through speed settings for all 4 zones simultaneously (available in “Breathing” and “Cycle” modes only).
- Press LB to sync all zones to the same lighting mode and toggle through 3 lighting modes. Press RB to sync all zones to the same color and toggle through 24 colors and shades.
- Press LT to decrease the brightness of all zones simultaneously. Press RT to increase the brightness of all zones simultaneously.
LED Mode Adjustment: Flame Mode
Flame animation starts each time a selected button is pressed, causing the flame to appear as if shooting from the Dragon's mouth.
- To enter LED Program Mode, hold the LEDS button for 2 seconds when FLAME MODE is selected.
- The current programmable Zone will flash 3 times. Press RIGHT on the D-PAD to toggle through the 3 Zones.
- Select a color using A (green), B (red), X (blue), or Y (yellow) buttons. Press the selected button repeatedly to cycle through 6 shades of that color.
- Press LEFT on the D-Pad to program the zone's light effect: “Solid”, “Breathing”, or “Cycle”.
- Press D-Pad up/down or left/right triggers to adjust the zone's brightness level.
- In program mode, press the LEDS button once to turn off the current zone independently. Press LEDS again to turn it back on.
- Press the VIEW button to toggle through speed settings for the current zone. Press the MENU button to toggle through speed settings for all 4 zones simultaneously (available in “Breathing” and “Cycle” modes only).
Troubleshooting
PROBLEM: My controller will not power on.
SOLUTION: Confirm the controller is fully charged. Plug in to recharge as needed.
PROBLEM: I don't see my PC controller listed in my device's settings.
SOLUTION: Press and hold the SYNC button on the bottom of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash rapidly).
PROBLEM: My wireless controller is not pairing.
SOLUTION 1: Confirm the battery is charged by plugging in the USB-C cable.
SOLUTION 2: Confirm you are following the Wireless pairing process.
SOLUTION 3: Insert a paper clip into the Reset Hole to reset the controller to factory settings.

Warning: Read Before Playing
A small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights. Motion Warning
Avoid excessive play. Take 10- to 15-minute breaks every hour. If you experience discomfort such as tingling, numbness, or burning, stop and rest. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.
Battery Warning
Do not attempt to repair the Li-ion battery yourself. Service or recycle the battery through PowerA or an authorized provider. Dispose of batteries according to local environmental laws and guidelines. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or environments with high static electricity, as this may increase the risk of overheating or fire. If battery liquid leaks into your eyes, flush thoroughly with clean water and seek medical attention. If the battery emits odor, heat, or appears abnormal, remove it from the device and place it in a fireproof container. Do not heat the controller or battery, or place them near fire.
