Controller Button Map
The PowerA Fusion Pro Wireless Controller features a comprehensive layout for optimal gaming:
Front View:
- Left Bumper: Located on the top left shoulder.
- Left Thumbstick: Positioned on the lower left side.
- D-Pad: Located to the left of the center, below the View button.
- View Button: Small button above the D-pad, on the left side.
- Xbox Button / LED Indicator: The central, illuminated Xbox logo ?.
- Menu Button: Small button above the A/B/X/Y buttons, on the right side.
- A/B/X/Y Buttons: Four primary action buttons arranged in a diamond pattern on the right.
- Right Thumbstick: Positioned on the lower right side.
- Left Trigger: Located on the top left shoulder, below the Left Bumper.
- Trigger Lock Left: Switch below the Left Trigger.
- Right Trigger: Located on the top right shoulder, below the Right Bumper.
- Trigger Lock Right: Switch below the Right Trigger.
- AGR 1 & AGR 2: Programmable buttons on the back, right side.
- AGL 1 & AGL 2: Programmable buttons on the back, left side.
- Share Button: Small button between the View and Menu buttons.
- Headset Volume / Mic Mute Dial: Located below the Share button.
- PRO/MAP Button: Button on the back, typically used for profile switching or mapping ⚙️.
- LEDS Button: Button on the back, likely for LED control ⚙️.
- Charge Contacts: Located on the bottom rear for charging.
- 3.5mm Audio Jack: Port for headphones, located on the bottom.
Top View (for connection/pairing):
- USB Sync Port: USB-C port ? for wired connection and charging.
- Reset Button Pinhole: Small hole for resetting the controller.

Connecting via Wired USB Mode
To connect your controller using a USB cable:
- Connect the included USB-C cable ? to the USB-C port on the controller and the other end to an available USB port on your Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
- If the controller is off, press the Xbox button ? to turn it on. The LED indicator will illuminate WHITE ⚪.
- For player and controller assignment details, refer to the Xbox user manual.
Connecting via Wireless Mode (2.4 GHz)
To connect your controller wirelessly ?:
- Insert the wireless USB adapter into an available USB port on your Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
- If the controller is off, press the Xbox button ? to turn it on. The LED will flash WHITE ⚪.
- The 2.4 GHz connection should be paired by default. If not, follow these steps to sync:
- Press and hold the SYNC button ⚙️ on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash WHITE ⚪ rapidly).
- Repeat this step using the SYNC button ⚙️ on the 2.4GHz adapter.
- Both the controller and adapter LEDs will flash several times and then pair. Once successfully paired, both LEDs will be solid WHITE ⚪.
Note: When not in use, the wireless USB adapter can be stored in the back of the controller display stand. The adapter must be plugged directly into the console or PC for wireless connection.
Charging Controller
For best results, fully charge the controller before first use.
Charging via USB:
- Connect the included USB-C cable ? to the USB-C port on the controller and the other end to an available USB port on your Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
- While charging, the Battery Status LED on the top housing will flash AMBER ?.
- When fully charged, the LED will be solid WHITE ⚪.
- The LED will flash RED ? when the battery is low.
Charging via Magnetic Charger:
- Connect the included USB-C cable ? to the USB-C port on the charging puck and connect the other end to any powered USB source.
- Place the controller onto the charging puck. Magnets will help align the charge contact points.
- The top housing faceplate LEDs will flash AMBER ? three times to indicate charging has started. Lumectra lighting will resume its previous mode and color.
- The Battery Status LED on the top housing will also flash AMBER ? while charging.
- The Battery Status LED will turn solid WHITE ⚪ when fully charged.
- The controller will be held magnetically to the puck and charge whether the puck is used alone or with the Display Stand.
Programming Advanced Gaming Buttons
You can map functions to the AGR1, AGR2, AGL1, and AGL2 buttons.
To program buttons:
- Press and hold the PRO/MAP button ⚙️ on the back of the controller for 3 seconds. The Xbox Button LED ring ? will flash WHITE ⚪, indicating assign mode.
- Press the button (A, B, X, Y, LT, RT, LB, RB, Left Stick Press, Right Stick Press, or D-pad) you wish to assign to an Advanced Gaming Button.
- Then, press the desired Advanced Gaming Button (AGR1/AGR2 or AGL1/AGL2) to assign the function. The Xbox Button LED ring ? will turn solid WHITE ⚪, confirming the assignment. Repeat for other Advanced Gaming Buttons.
Note: Advanced Gaming Button assignments are saved even after disconnection.
To reset Advanced Gaming Buttons:
- Hold the PRO/MAP button ⚙️ for 2-3 seconds. The Xbox Button LED will slowly flash ⚪, indicating assign mode.
- Press the previously assigned Advanced Gaming Button for 5 seconds to clear its function.
Adjustable Analog Stick and Trigger Lock
Quick-Twist Adjustable Analog Stick:
Each thumbstick can be adjusted to one of three heights: STANDARD, MEDIUM, or TALL.
- To change height, twist the analog cap clockwise ? until it clicks into the next height notch. Twist a second time for the tallest height.
- To return to the standard height, twist the analog cap a third time, and the stick will drop to the standard position.
Trigger Lock Adjustment:
The T1-T3 trigger lock adjustments allow you to set physical trigger depth preferences. These can also be configured via the PowerA Gamer HQ app for digital trigger settings, such as actuation or deadzone percentage.
Profile Settings
The controller supports up to 3 custom profiles stored locally.
Cycling through profiles:
- Quick-tap the PRO/MAP button ⚙️ to cycle through profile settings for trigger locks (T1/T2/T3). The default profiles adjust trigger deadzones: Profile 1 (99% deadzone), Profile 2 (50% deadzone), Profile 3 (no deadzone/full-throw).
- Each press cycles through profiles: 3 → 2 → 1 → 3.
The top housing LED faceplate will flash 3 times in the corresponding profile color to indicate a change.
Customizing Profiles:
To clear or change profile settings, use the PowerA Gamer HQ app. The app allows for hundreds of custom profile settings, but the controller can only store 3 at a time. These settings can be pushed to the controller.
Gamer HQ App & Lumectra LED Control
The Gamer HQ app (available on the Windows Store) allows for controller testing, calibration, and customization.
With the controller connected via USB-C ?, the app enables:
- Firmware updates.
- Testing of buttons, analog controls, vibration, and audio.
- Recalibration of analog inputs.
- Setting trigger and thumbstick deadzones/active areas.
- Adjusting game-chat volume and vibration intensity.
- Controlling all RGB LED settings.
- Remapping buttons, including Advanced Gaming Buttons.
You can create and push up to three custom profiles to the controller for quick access via the PROFILES button.
Ghost Lumectra LED Control:
Entering LED Program Mode: Hold the LEDS button ⚙️ on the back of the controller for 2 seconds when a specific LED mode is selected. The top housing will flash GREEN 3 times.
Exiting LED Program Mode: Hold the LEDS button ⚙️ for 2 seconds. The top housing will flash GREEN 3 times.
LED Modes: Cycle through modes by quick-tapping the LEDS button ⚙️:
- WAVE: LEDs wash across the controller.
- ZONE: Customizable settings for 4 zones (includes SOLID, BREATHING, CYCLE modes).
- PULSE REACTIVE: LEDs move from the input and fade away.
- RIPPLE REACTIVE: LEDs surround the input and fade away.
Turning LEDs On/Off: Quick-press the MENU + OPTIONS buttons simultaneously.
Note: The controller will not function with the console or PC while in LED program mode.
LED Mode Adjustment
You can customize selected LED modes using the D-Pad and face buttons.
Wave Mode Customization:
- Press Left on the D-Pad ◀️ to switch between rainbow cycle or single-color wave.
- Press Right on the D-Pad ▶️ to cycle through wave directions (Center Radial, Outer Radial, Vertical Bounce, Left Wave, Right Wave, Downwards Wave, Upwards Wave, Horizontal Bounce).
- In single-color mode, press Right on the D-Pad ▶️ to change colors. Press A/B/X/Y buttons to cycle through 6 shades of the selected color.
- Adjust brightness by pressing Up ? or Down ? on the D-Pad.
Zone Mode Customization:
The controller has 4 customizable zones.
- To select a zone, press Right on the D-Pad ▶️.
- Choose a color by pressing A (Green), B (Red), X (Blue), or Y (Yellow). Press the same button again to cycle through 6 shades of that color.
- Set the light effect (Solid, Breathing, Cycle) by pressing Left on the D-Pad ◀️.
- Adjust brightness by pressing Up ? or Down ? on the D-Pad.
- To turn a zone off/on, press the LEDS button ⚙️ once.
- Toggle speed settings for the current zone using the VIEW button. Use the MENU button to toggle speed settings for all 4 zones simultaneously (available in Breathing and Cycle modes).
- Syncing: Press LB to sync all zones to the same lighting mode. Press RB to sync all zones to the same color.
- Brightness: Press LT to decrease brightness for all zones. Press RT to increase brightness for all zones.
Pulse Reactive & Ripple Reactive Mode Customization:
These modes allow LEDs to react to button presses.
- Enter LED Program Mode by holding the LEDS button ⚙️ for 2 seconds.
- Press Left on the D-Pad ◀️ to choose between Rainbow cycle or single-color mode.
- Adjust brightness by pressing Up ? or Down ? on the D-Pad.
- In single-color mode, select colors using A/B/X/Y buttons and cycle through shades.
- Long press the LEDS button ⚙️ to exit program mode.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Controller will not power on.
Solution: Confirm the controller is fully charged. Plug in to recharge as needed.
Problem: Controller is not connecting to my 2.4 GHz wireless adapter.
Solution: Press and hold the SYNC button ⚙️ on the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED ring flashes rapidly). Ensure the wireless adapter is plugged into your console or PC. Press and hold the SYNC button ⚙️ on the wireless adapter. Controller and adapter LEDs should flash and then stay solid WHITE ⚪ upon successful pairing.
Problem: My wireless controller is not pairing.
Solution 1: Confirm the battery is charged.
Solution 2: Ensure you are following the wireless pairing process correctly.
Solution 3: Insert a paper clip into the Reset Hole to reset the controller to factory settings. Then, follow the pairing instructions again.
