Product Overview

The C320 is Rinstrum's latest compact panel-mount indicator, ideal for mobile applications such as forklifts, platforms, truck cabs, and crane scales, as well as OEM applications. It is well-suited for basic weight control or level control functions, utilizing general or advanced setpoints. The multi-color backlit display enhances the user interface. Similar to the R3 series, the C320 can be combined with a desk stand or an IP65 enclosure to form a complete unit that can be mounted as a desk/wall unit or on a tripod.

The C320 supports a new range of accessory cards, offering expanded communication options and additional features through expansion cards.

• Large Voltage Range: 5-24V DC operation, suitable for a variety of onboard OEM applications. The USB cable eliminates the need for third-party power supplies, saving system complexity and cost.
• Display: 20mm (0.8in) LCD display with multi-color backlight.
• Characters: Six 9-segment characters.
• Mounting Options: Versatile panel-mount options.
• Robust Construction: Robust, compact polyester overlay with mechanical keys, offering durability, ease of cleaning, and resistance to chemicals and UV.
• Connectivity: rinLINK connection, certified for easy on-site updates and settings.
• Inputs/Outputs: Two digital inputs and two high-side digital outputs, electrically isolated. Outputs can directly drive low-voltage DC actuators.
• Data Logging: Onboard data storage compliant with WELMEC 7.2 (Alibi memory DSD).
• Printing: Multiple standard print formats and fully programmable formats created with the drag-and-drop configuration tool, rinPRINT.
• Serial Connections: Two bidirectional serial RS232 connections, independently configurable for network, printer, or remote display functions.

Advanced Setpoints

The C3 series supports up to 8 setpoints, with setpoints 1 and 2 linked to the integrated digital outputs. Setpoint status can be used to directly control integrated outputs, sound a buzzer, change display backlight color, or be transmitted to external control systems via Modbus RTU or a fieldbus expansion.

Setpoint functions include:

• OVER/UNDER setpoint
• WEIGHING: OVER, UNDER, PASS
• Status (motion, zero, net)

Setpoint outputs can be locked and reset via remote inputs or external control.

Optional accessory cards can be connected via the Accessory Port to add further functionality to the C320 indicator.

Smart Weighing

The bright and color-display of the C3 series can automatically change color when pre-assigned target weights are reached. The operator can instantly recognize the status by the display color. Based on color changes from orange, green, or red, the status for UNDERWEIGHT, TARGET WEIGHT, or OVERWEIGHT is recognized.
