Safety Instructions
Laser Radiation: Class 2 Laser Product. Power: <1mW. Wavelength: 635nm.
General Warnings:
- Be sure you have read and understood all instructions and operating guides contained herein before using the instrument.
- Do not attempt to alter the property of the laser device, as it may expose the laser to the crowd and cause hazards.
- This instrument emits laser radiation. Do not look at the laser beam directly. Turn on the instrument only when needed.
- Any operation, adjustment, control, performance, or procedure beyond the instructions described herein may cause serious laser-induced radiation damage.
- Using this instrument in combination with other optical instruments will aggravate damage to human eyes.
- This instrument contains a laser generator producing Class 2 laser radiation (wavelength 635nm, power 1mW). While Class 2 laser beams normally do not cause optical damage, directly staring at the beam will cause an instantaneous blind spot.
Specific Safety Precautions:
- The warning label, with a triangle mark indicating the laser emission point, is on the back of the instrument. Pay full attention to this area during use and be aware of bystanders to avoid harm to human eyes from direct laser beam impact.
- Do not tear off or destroy warning labels.
- Keep the instrument inaccessible to children. Do not point the laser beam at any person.
- Do not operate the instrument near children or allow children to operate it.
- Do not place the instrument where the laser beam can be easily caught by anyone's eyes, consciously or unconsciously.
- Do not point the laser beam at highly reflective objects, as the reflected beam can hurt eyes.
- Turn off the instrument when not in use to prevent inadvertent viewing of the laser beam.
- Do not attempt to alter the laser beam's property, as it may expose you to severe laser radiation.
- Do not attempt to repair or disassemble this instrument. Unauthorized repairs can cause serious laser radiation harm. Repairs must be done by a licensed technician.
- Do not use this instrument in places with flammables like flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Only genuine parts ensure normal operation.
- Store batteries out of reach of children.
- This product is not a toy and should not be used by children.
- Do not open the product casing or insert foreign objects.
- Do not operate in combustible areas (presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust).
- Warning! Do not immerse electrical/optical parts in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
- Avoid exposing the product to shock, continuous vibration, or extreme temperatures. This could damage the tool and cause serious injury.
- Do not look into the laser beam directly or through optical instruments.
- Operating this product with other optical instruments increases potential eye damage.
- Do not touch the lens.
- Handle the laser product with care, like any other optical device (camera, binoculars).
Battery Warnings:
- Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures (direct sunlight, fire). Do not place the product on heat sources. Leaking battery acid can cause harm.
- Always insert batteries correctly, observing polarity (+ and -).
- Caution! Danger of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly.
- Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent type.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types/brands.
- If batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them according to regulations. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention.

Using the Meter
Inserting Batteries
The meter requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not supplied).
- Remove the battery compartment cover from the meter's bottom (refer to diagram showing battery compartment).
- Insert the batteries while observing the polarity markings (+ and -) on the batteries and battery compartment (refer to diagram showing battery polarity).
- Close the battery compartment cover (refer to diagram showing closed compartment).
Caution! Use high-quality batteries only. Low-quality batteries might leak and cause damage. Remove batteries if the meter is not used for an extended period. If the meter malfunctions or the low battery icon appears, replace batteries immediately with the same type.
Using Buttons for Basic Functions
- Power on/Start measurement (Button 2): Press once to switch on the laser function and enter standby. Press twice to start a measurement.
- Switching datum/Power off (Button 3): Press once to switch between front and back base points for measurement. Press and hold to switch off the meter.
