Roller Shutter Door Sensor DWC-55
User Manual
Introduction
The DWC-55 Roller Shutter Door Sensor is designed for rolling gates. When the Metal Magnet and the Metal Reed Switch are separated by more than 2cm, it immediately transmits a wireless alert signal to the connected control panel. The battery lifespan is approximately 12 to 15 months, depending on the frequency of door/gate operation.
Product Overview
The product consists of three main components: a Transmitter unit with an antenna and LED indicator, a Metal Reed Switch, and a Metal Magnet. The Metal Reed Switch and Metal Magnet are separate units intended for installation on the moving parts of a rolling gate.
LED Indication
- Flashes once: Indicates door opening detection.
- Flashes once every 3 seconds: Indicates low battery power; replace batteries as soon as possible.
Pair with Control Panel
- Ensure the control panel is in Pairing Accessory State (refer to the control panel's user manual for details).
- Separate the Metal Magnet and the Metal Reed Switch by more than 2cm. The control panel will beep once to confirm successful pairing.
Installation
Install the sensor components inside the house. Follow these steps:
- Metal Magnet: Install on the bottom of the rolling gate. It should move up and down parallel to the ground, without extending below the gate's bottom edge.
- Metal Reed Switch: Install on the ground. Ensure the distance between the installed Metal Magnet and the Metal Reed Switch is less than 2cm when the gate is closed.
- Transmitter: Connect the Transmitter to the Metal Reed Switch. Mount it on the wall adjacent to the rolling gate, positioned as far as possible from the gate itself, as metal can interfere with wireless transmission.
- Test: Set the control panel to Arm State. Close the gate, then open it by more than 2cm. The sensor is functioning correctly if the LED indicator flashes once and the system alarm is triggered.
Note: If the LED indicator flashes once but the system alarm does not activate, try pulling out the antenna of the DWC-55 or moving the control panel closer to the sensor.
