Product Description

The BE COOL BC13WTU2302AK is a tower fan designed for cooling air, suitable for smaller spaces. It is not a substitute for an air conditioner and is intended for domestic use only.

• Check that the power type and mains voltage match the specifications on the device's rating plate before plugging it in.
• The electrical socket must be in good condition, properly grounded, and capable of handling the required current load.
• Avoid using extension cords as they can overheat and cause fires.
• Do not modify the device in any way. Use only manufacturer-recommended spare parts or accessories.
• If the device malfunctions, unplug it and contact the seller or customer service.
• For any repairs, contact manufacturer-recommended service points.
• Children under 8 years of age and individuals with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities should only use the device under supervision and after being thoroughly informed about safe usage.
• Never use the device unattended; unplug it when leaving the room.
• Do not allow children to play with the device.
• Do not bend or kink the power cable.
• Do not use the device with wet hands.
• Do not use the device outdoors.
• Never use the device in rooms where flammable gases, oil, or sulfur are present.
• Do not use the device near water or high humidity, such as in damp basements, near swimming pools, bathtubs, or showers. Ensure water cannot enter the device.
• Do not place any objects on the device.
• Place the device on a stable, flat surface.
• Never cover the device.
• Do not insert fingers, pencils, or other objects into the device, and ensure air inlets are never blocked.
• Always unplug the device before cleaning or servicing.
• Do not pull the power cable to unplug the device; always pull the plug itself.
• Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
• Unplug the device if you are not using it, if you are cleaning it, if it needs servicing, or if you are moving it.
• Keep the device in good condition through cleaning and maintenance. Contact customer service for any maintenance questions.
• Store the device in a safe, dry place out of reach of children when not in use.

Warnings - Risk of Injury

• Keep children and animals away from plastic bags and foils. There is a risk of suffocation.
• If the battery leaks, avoid contact with battery acid. Wear protective gloves. In case of contact, rinse the affected area with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention. There is a risk of burns from battery acid.
• Keep hair, jewelry, or clothing (e.g., scarves) away from the product, as they could get caught in the rotor blades.
• Use only original manufacturer accessories to avoid interfering with product operation and prevent damage.
• Do not insert pointed objects into the product.
• Protect the product from heat, open flames, direct sunlight, temperatures below freezing, prolonged humidity, moisture, and impacts.
• In case of damage or malfunction, immediately switch off the product. Do not use a damaged product.
• Do not make any modifications to the product. Do not attempt to repair or replace parts yourself. Contact customer service for assistance with damage.
• Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface.
• Store the product in a dry and clean place out of reach of children and animals.
• Before connecting to the charging adapter, check that the power type and mains voltage match the device's rating plate.
• Do not bend or kink the cable. Do not touch the charging adapter with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
• Do not place open flames, such as candles, on the device.

Battery Handling

The tower fan has a permanently installed battery that cannot be easily replaced by the user. Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself.

Warning: Risk of Explosion! There is a risk of explosion if the battery is not replaced correctly. Replace only with the same or an equivalent type. Do not throw the device into fire, short-circuit, or disassemble it.

Recycling, Disposal, Declaration of Conformity

Recycling: Packaging materials can be recycled. It is recommended to dispose of them in sorted waste.

Disposal: The symbol of a crossed-out waste bin requires separate disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Electrical and electronic equipment may contain hazardous substances. Do not dispose of it in unsorted waste, but take it to a designated collection point for WEEE. This helps protect resources and the environment. For further information, contact your dealer or local authorities. Directive 2012/19/EU.

Battery Disposal: According to Legislative Decree No. 188 of November 20, 2008, implementing Directive 2006/66/EC on batteries, accumulators, and their waste, the crossed-out waste bin symbol on the battery indicates that it is forbidden to dispose of batteries in household waste. Batteries and accumulators contain environmentally hazardous substances. Users are obliged to dispose of used batteries in municipal collection centers or designated collectors. This service is free of charge. This ensures compliance with legal requirements and environmental protection. You can find the following symbols on batteries: Li = battery contains lithium, Al = battery contains alkaline, Mn = battery contains manganese. Examples: CR 2032 (Li); AA (Al, Mn); AAA (Al, Mn).

Device Description

The device consists of a base, an aluminum tube, and the main unit. It includes a remote control keypad, LED screen, and touch screen.

The adapter connects to the plug for use.

Display and Remote Control

Display: The display shows fan working indicators, mode display, timing, anion, charging display, battery power display, and different modes like sleeping mode, oscillating mode, and normal mode.

Remote Control: The remote control has buttons for ON/OFF, Oscillation, Speed, and Timer. It also includes mode switching, sleeping mode, and oscillation mode buttons.

Battery Replacement in Remote Control:

1. Use a small screwdriver to unscrew and remove the cover on the bottom of the remote control counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the old battery. Be careful not to bend the contacts. Insert the new battery.
3. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). Use only type CR2032 and dispose of old batteries in an environmentally friendly manner according to your country's regulations.
4. Place the cover back on the bottom of the remote control and turn it clockwise to close it. Screw the screw back in.

Assembly

Follow these steps for assembly:

1. Connect the two main parts using the pre-made holes.
2. Screw the threaded base into the assembled base parts from below.
3. Screw in the screws into the designated threaded holes.
4. Turn the aluminum tube clockwise into the base.
5. Screw the unit clockwise onto the aluminum tube. The unit can also be attached directly to the base with screws without the aluminum tube.
6. The unit is fully assembled and ready for use.

Operation

Getting Started:

• Place the device on a flat, dry surface (do not use in damp rooms). Plug the device into a standard 220-240V socket.
• If using the unit wirelessly with a rechargeable battery, charge it fully first. Charging takes approximately 10 hours.
• Fan functions can be adjusted via the remote control or directly on the unit using the control panel buttons.
• When using the remote control, point it directly at the unit for proper operation.

Functions:

Display Indications

• Normal Mode: The unit is in normal operating mode and displays the currently selected wind speed.
• Oscillating Mode: The unit is in oscillating mode and displays the currently selected wind speed.
• Timer Mode: The unit is in timer mode. The display alternates between the current wind speed and the time until automatic shut-off.
• Night Mode: The unit is in night mode and displays the currently selected wind speed.

Cleaning

• Caution: Unplug the device and let it stop completely before cleaning. Use a soft cloth for cleaning. If dirt or grime cannot be easily removed, use warm water with soap.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners (thinners), metal accessories, or hard brushes for cleaning, as they can damage the plastic housing.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquids. Do not allow water to drip onto or into the fan motor housing.

Warranty

BE COOL quality products are innovative, durable, and reliable.

This BE COOL device comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, valid only in Austria.

In the unlikely event that service is required within this period, BE COOL guarantees free repair (spare parts and labor) or (at Schuss's discretion) product replacement. If neither repair nor replacement is economically feasible, BE COOL reserves the right to issue a credit based on the current value.

For air conditioning devices, always contact the customer service hotline first (refer to the label on the device or the manual's cover page). For fans, contact your dealer or BE COOL directly. Repairs not performed by an authorized workshop in Austria will immediately void this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
• Damage due to failure to follow operating instructions.
• Devices used for commercial purposes, even partially.
• Devices damaged by external forces (drops, impacts, cracks, improper use, etc.) as well as aesthetic wear.
• Improperly used devices.
• Devices not opened by our authorized workshop.
• Unfulfilled customer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, and power surges.
• Devices where the type label and/or serial number are erased, made illegible, or removed.
• Service work not performed by our authorized workshops, transportation costs to an authorized workshop or to us and back, as well as associated risks.

Please note that within the warranty period, a flat fee of €60 (indexed according to the consumer price index 2010, June 2015) will be charged in case of operational errors or if a defect cannot be found.

The total 2-year warranty period is not extended if warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) is performed.

The 2-year warranty is valid only upon presentation of the original invoice (must include the dealer's name and address, as well as the full device name) and the accompanying warranty card, which must indicate the device type and serial number (found on the box and the back or bottom of the device). If the warranty card cannot be presented, only the statutory warranty applies!

Please note that this warranty does not alter statutory warranty coverage and applies in full regardless.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its representatives are only liable for damages in cases of gross negligence or intent. Liability for lost profits, expected but unrealized savings, consequential damages, and third-party claims is excluded in all cases. Damage to recorded data is always excluded from liability for damages.
