Diagram showing cable preparation: 1/2 inch insulation removed from both wires.
2 Connecting the Cable to the Transformer
- Lay the transformer (A) on a flat, stable surface and open the terminal connector door flap. Insert the landscape wire into the desired channel pair of terminals marked “COM” & “CH” with one stripped end into the desired channel marked “COM1” or “COM2” firmly press down the terminal handle to secure the wire. Next insert the remaining paired stripped wire into the matched paired terminal marked “CH1” or “CH2” and firmly press down the terminal handle to secure the wire. Refer to the Cable Selection Chart to determine which voltage terminal to select "12V" or "15V" based on the wire gauge and fixture wattage.
- Verify that there are no loose cable strands and tug on the landscape wire to verify that the connections are all secure, and firmly close the flap door.

Function section introduction
The 200W Astronomical Low Voltage transformer allows for multi-volt output and setting up schedules for 2 independent zones. Scheduling can be set with specific on/off times, sunrise/sunset based on an astronomical clock, or on at sunset and off at a specific time.
Functions Buttons
- Clock: Allows setting of Month, Day, Year, Hour, Minute, and AM/PM.
- Switch 12V or 15V: Allows selection of output voltage. Only one voltage can be set for the transformer. Each zone will share the same selected voltage.
- Time ON/OFF: Allows you to set specific ON and OFF time for a zone or zones.
- ASTRO: Allows you to specify your time zone and further fine tune your location north to south from one of three areas per time zone. This selection in conjunction with the current date and time set allow the transformer to calculate sunrise and sunset for your location. Astro can be set to come ON at sunset and OFF as sunrise or set to come ON at sunset and OFF at a specific time specified.
Program Buttons
- Up Arrow: Used during programming to increment time, dates, or cycle through selections. After setup can be used to view the current set ON time for the selected function.
- Down Arrow: Used during programming to increment time, dates, or cycle through selections. After setup can be used to view the current set OFF time for the selected function.
- OK Button: Used to enter programming or make a selection.
Zone Buttons
- Show the active zones.
- You can mix and match zones with one being set to TIME ON/OFF and the other set to ASTRO.
- You can set both zones to the same timer function.
- If all function buttons are turned off, turning on a zone will put it into test mode and turn on regardless of any timers set. The Zone(s) will remain on until turned off or a programmed timer function is turned on.
