Control Panel Overview:

Note: Some buttons and indicators only become visible when the cooktop is in use.

Accessories

Use only pots and pans made from ferromagnetic material suitable for induction cooktops. Look for the ?️ symbol or test with a magnet to ensure compatibility. Cookware must have a flat base.

Cookware Usage by Zone

ZoneSuitable Cookware ShapeSuitable Ferromagnetic Base (inch) / (cm)
1 or 2Round or Square7 in - 9 in / 16 cm - 21 cm
3Round7 in - 10 in / 18 cm - 27 cm
4Round4 in - 6 in / 10 cm - 15 cm
5Round7 in - 9 in / 16 cm - 21 cm
1+2 (XL Cooking Zone)Oval or RectangularShort side: 7 in - 8 in / 16 cm - 21 cm
Long side: 10 in - 14 in / 24 cm - 36 cm

Note: Using cookware larger than the recommended zone size may reduce efficiency.

Adapters for Pots/Pans Unsuitable for Induction: Using adapter plates can decrease efficiency and increase heating time. Ensure the ferromagnetic diameter of the cookware base aligns with the adapter plate and cooking zone diameter.

Empty Pots and Pans: The cooktop has an automatic shut-off feature for high temperatures. Avoid using empty pots with thin bases, as they may overheat quickly and risk damaging the pan or cooktop.

First Time Use

Switching the Cooktop ON/OFF

Press the power button for approximately 1 second to turn the cooktop on. Press it again to turn it off. All cooking zones will deactivate.

Cookware Positioning

Do not cover the control panel with cookware. For zones near the control panel, keep cookware within the marked areas to prevent overheating of the panel. Use rear cooking zones for grilling or frying whenever possible.

Activating/Deactivating Cooking Zones & Adjusting Power Levels

Activating Zones

  1. Press the zone ON/OFF button.
  2. Slide your finger horizontally on the slider to increase (right) or decrease (left) the power level. The selected power level (1-18) will be indicated on the display.
  3. The "P" button can be used for Power Boost.

Deactivating Zones

  1. Press the zone ON/OFF button.

Note: Spills or objects on the control panel can mimic button presses. If an obstruction is detected for 8 seconds, the zone will display "OFF" and the cooktop will shut down.

Control Panel Lock

Press and hold the ? 3 sec button for 3 seconds to activate the control panel lock. This prevents accidental setting changes, especially useful during cleaning. Press and hold again for 3 seconds to unlock. The lock icon will illuminate when active. The cooktop can still be turned on/off while locked.

Residual Heat

A "Hot" indicator on a cooking zone means it is still hot, either from recent use or residual heat from adjacent zones. The indicator disappears when the zone cools down.

Pot Incorrectly Positioned or Missing

A symbol indicates if cookware is unsuitable, not positioned correctly, or not the right size for the zone. If no pot is detected within 30 seconds, the zone will switch off.

Setting Menu: Changing Basic Settings

Within 60 seconds of powering on the cooktop, you can access the settings menu:

  1. Turn on the cooktop.
  2. Press and hold the ? 3 sec button for 6 seconds.
  3. The product will sound; continue holding until the Setting Menu appears.
  4. Use the rear-left arrows to navigate setting types and the front-left arrows to change values.
  5. Press the cooktop ON/OFF button to confirm. If not confirmed, settings revert within 30 seconds.

Power Limitation

The cooktop is set to maximum power at purchase. Power limitation settings can restrict certain functions, like Power Boost, to stay within the selected limit (e.g., 4 kW).

Functions: Power Levels

The cooktop offers 18 power levels for precise cooking control. The table below provides cooking tips for each level.

Power LevelCooking Tips
Power BoostBring water to a boil as quickly as possible. Do not use an empty pan or oil/butter.
17-18Bring water to a boil, deep fry frozen products.
15-16Maintain a lively boil, quick-sear, blister, stir-fry, brown.
10-14Maintain a gentle boil, preheat, grill (for a long period), stir-fry, sauté, caramelize, brown, pancakes.
5-9Simmer, Stew, Thicken, Slow Cook.
3-4Keep warm, Defrost.
1-2Melting, Creaming (risotto)
Zero power (OFF)Cooktop is in stand-by or off mode (residual heat indicated by "Hot").

Power Boost "P"

This mode provides higher power than level 18 for faster boiling, maintainable for up to 10 minutes per zone. After 10 minutes, power reduces to level 18. Do not use with an empty pan or oil/butter. If another zone is activated while Power Boost is on, the first zone may be reduced to level 18.

XL Cooking Zone

Combine two cooking zones into one longer zone to accommodate rectangular, oval, or elongated cookware. Use a single setting for the combined zone.

  1. Press the XL Cooking Zone button.
  2. Use either slider to set the power level. Both zone displays will show the selected setting.
  3. To deselect, press the XL Cooking Zone button again or the ON/OFF button for one of the zones.

Note: XL Cooking Zone cannot be selected if both zones are already ON.

Important: Use cookware that covers both zones simultaneously. Place cookware centered within the XL Cooking Zone. Large round pots in the center may heat less evenly. For pots 9 inches (21 cm) or smaller, use single zones without activating XL Cooking Zone.

XL Cooking Zone used as two individual zones: When using two pots, place one on the rear zone and the other on the front zone. Activate each zone independently using its ON/OFF button and slider. Ensure cookware is centered in its respective zone and does not extend beyond the zone area or onto the control panel.

Temp Cook™ Function

This function allows you to select and cook at a specific temperature, similar to an oven, rather than using power levels. The cooktop automatically adjusts heat to maintain a stable temperature. This function is available on zones marked with the TEMP COOK symbol.

Note: Displayed temperature refers to the center of empty cookware. Actual temperature may vary. For best results, place cookware in the center of the zone and activate when the "Hot" indicator is off.

Important: Not intended for boiling water or deep-frying. Water will not boil even if set above 212°F.

How to activate Temp Cook™:

  1. Place cookware on the TEMP COOK zone.
  2. Activate the zone with its ON/OFF button.
  3. Press the TEMP COOK button.
  4. Use the arrow buttons (⬆️/⬇️) to select the desired temperature (120°F to 400°F).
  5. Wait for preheating (display shows "PrE" and temperature alternately).
  6. An audible tone signals when the set temperature is reached; add food.
  7. Adjust temperature in 10°F increments using arrows.

Note: If disconnected from mains, connectivity must be repeated.

Sounds Produced During Operation

Induction cooktops may produce whistling or creaking noises due to cookware characteristics (material layers, irregularities). These are normal and not indicative of a problem. Continuous clicking or ticking may occur if cookware cannot receive full power. Use cookware with a larger diameter or better performance. Hissing may occur when activating multiple zones; intensity can be reduced by changing settings. Spills or objects on the control panel can mimic button presses and trigger sounds.

Troubleshooting

Check electricity supply. If the cooktop cannot be turned off, disconnect it from power. Consult the table below for error codes.

Note: Water, spills, or objects on buttons can activate the control panel lock.
