Different cookware materials and their properties are detailed, along with recommendations for suitable shapes and sizes for each cooking zone.

Adapters for Pots/Pans Unsuitable for Induction: Using adapter plates can affect efficiency. Ensure the ferromagnetic diameter of the cookware base aligns with the adapter plate and cooking zone diameter.

Empty Pots and Pans: The cooktop has an internal system that activates 'Automatic off' if excessive temperature is detected. Using empty pots with thin bases is not recommended as it may lead to damage.

First Time Use

Switching the Cooktop ON/OFF: Press the power button for approximately 1 second to turn on. Press again to turn off.

Cookware Positioning: Place pots and pans centered on the cooking zone. Avoid covering the control panel. For zones near the control panel, keep cookware within markings to prevent overheating. Use rear zones for grilling or frying.

Activating/Deactivating Cooking Zones and Adjusting Power Levels

To activate a zone: Press the zone ON/OFF button. Slide your finger on the slider to increase or decrease power level (1-18). The 'P' button selects Power Boost.

To deactivate a zone: Press the zone ON/OFF button.

Note: Spills or objects on the control panel can mimic finger input.

Control Panel Lock: Press and hold the 3-second button for 3 seconds to activate. Press again for 3 seconds to deactivate. This function is recommended for cleaning.

Power Limitation

The cooktop is set to maximum power at purchase. Power limitation settings can affect the availability of certain functions, like Power Boost.

Functions

Power Levels: The cooktop offers 18 power levels for precise cooking control. The table below provides cooking tips for each level.

Power Boost 'P': A special mode for faster boiling, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes per zone. Power will automatically reduce to level 18 afterwards.

XL Cooking Zone: Combines two zones into one longer zone for rectangular or oval cookware. Activate by pressing the XL Cooking Zone button and use either slider to set power. Ensure cookware covers both zones.

Temp Cook™ Function: Allows selection and maintenance of specific temperatures, similar to an oven. The cooktop automatically adjusts heat. Available on zones marked with the Temp Cook™ symbol.

Assisted Cooking - Cooking Techniques: Functions that set and hold ideal temperatures for specific cooking methods.

Smart Boil: Brings water to a boil and maintains a gentle boil. Recommended for boiling water only. Ensure the pot is 1/2 to 3/4 full and do not add salt before boiling.

Simmer: Ideal for simmering sauces and soups for extended periods.

Sauté: Ideal for frying vegetables and mushrooms with minimal fat.

Pan Fry: For frying various foods with a small amount of fat.

Grill: For grilling meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables over dry heat.

Melt: Automatically sets ideal power for melting delicate foods like chocolate or butter without burning.

Keep Warm: Automatically sets ideal power to keep food warm after cooking.

Sounds Produced During Operation

Induction cooktops may produce sounds like whistling or creaking due to cookware characteristics. These are normal and not indicative of a problem. Continuous clicking or ticking sounds may occur if the pan is not receiving full power. Ensure cookware is appropriately sized and performing.

Hissing sounds may occur when multiple zones are activated simultaneously. Changing settings may reduce or eliminate this.

Water spills, food overflow, or objects on the control panel can activate buttons unintentionally, causing beeps or other acoustic signals.
