Product Overview
The tzumi Rock 500 is a karaoke microphone designed for portable entertainment, featuring Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in holder for smartphones. It is HD Voice Ready.
Microphone Components
The microphone features a microphone head, a control panel with buttons for ECHO, Volume (+/-), and Power (ON/OFF), a charging port, and an LED indicator.
Smartphone Holder
A retractable smartphone holder is integrated into the microphone. It can be pulled up and securely holds phones up to 6 inches.
Pairing to Bluetooth Device
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your electronic device. Follow these steps for pairing:
- Keep the distance between your device and the microphone within 3 feet for initial pairing.
- Turn the microphone on using the power button [Power Button].
- On your device, activate Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select "Rock Solo" from the list.
- If prompted, enter password "0000" (for some devices).
- The microphone is now ready for use. Paired devices will remember each other for future connections.
Using the Built-in Smart Phone Holder
The integrated retractable phone holder allows you to view your phone screen while singing.
- Access the phone holder by pulling it UP.
- Place your smartphone into the bracket. The holder accommodates phones up to 6 inches.
Rock Solo Controls
Control Functions
- Turn ON/OFF: Press and hold the Power button [Power Button].
- Pause/Restart: Quickly press the Power button [Power Button].
- Accompaniment ON/OFF: Press and hold the MIC ON/OFF button.
- Turn Microphone ON/OFF: Quickly press the MIC ON/OFF button.
- Increase Volume: Press and hold the VOL+ button.
- Go to Previous Song: Quickly press the ►I/VOL- button [previous song].
- Decrease Volume: Press and hold the VOL- button.
- Go to Next Song: Quickly press the ►I/VOL- button [next song].
- Adjust Echo Effect: Push the ECHO button.
Recording with Microphone
Note: Recording is done via audio cable only. Bluetooth must be turned off.
- Connect the audio cable to your phone and plug the micro USB end into the microphone base [Micro USB port].
- Open your preferred karaoke app and follow its instructions to start recording.
- After recording, you can listen to your video in two ways:
- Through the Microphone Speakers: Keep your phone connected to the microphone and replay your video.
- Through Your Phone: Disconnect your phone from the microphone, turn the microphone off, and replay your video.
Note for iPhone 7 & 7Plus: These models lack an auxiliary jack. An Apple-supplied adapter is required.
Charging the Microphone
Note: The unit will automatically shut off when the battery is low.
- Connect the Micro USB to USB cable from the microphone to a power source. The LED Indicator [LED Indicator] will light up red.
- Charging takes approximately 2 hours. The red light will turn off when charging is complete.
Note: The microphone can be used while charging.
FAQ/Troubleshooting
Q: Why is Bluetooth not pairing?
Ensure devices are close enough. The unit may already be paired with another device; unpair it from the other device if necessary.
Q: Why does the microphone not turn on?
Verify the unit is sufficiently charged. The microphone requires a minimum charge level to power on. A blue light indicates a substantial charge.
Q: Why is there sound distortion or static?
Check for weak phone signal, excessively high volume on your device or phone, or low battery power on the microphone. Adjust volumes and ensure the microphone is fully charged.
Q: Why is there loud feedback when I start to record?
Some karaoke apps may conflict with external audio input, causing loud noise. Try an app that is compatible with external audio input.
Q: Why won't my recording play back?
Ensure the RockSolo is connected via the 3.5mm headphone jack [3.5mm audio jack] for proper recognition. Some apps may not support external audio input or your specific device. Try a different app or operating system.
