FAQ / Troubleshooting

Q: Why is Bluetooth not pairing?

A: Ensure your phone and the PopSolo are close together (within 3 feet for pairing). The unit may also be paired with another device; unpair it from the other device.

Q: Why does the microphone not turn on?

A: Make sure the unit is fully charged. The microphone will not turn on if the battery is critically low. A blue LED light typically indicates a substantial charge.

Q: Why is there sound distortion or static?

A: Check for a weak phone signal, excessively high volume settings on the device or phone, or low battery power. Adjust volumes and ensure the microphone is fully charged.

Q: Why is there loud feedback when I start to record?

A: Some karaoke apps are designed for headphones and may produce loud noise when using an external microphone. Try a different app that supports external audio input.

Q: Why won't my recording play back, though I heard it clearly?

A: PopSolo works best with karaoke apps that do not require headphones and are connected via a 3.5mm headphone jack. If your vocals are not recorded, the app might not support external audio input. Try a different app or device.
