General Safety
Read the entire user manual before using the device. Use the meter only as specified and do not attempt to repair it or open the meter housing. Do not allow children to use the meter or its protective case. Dispose of batteries and the meter responsibly and in accordance with all applicable regulations.
To avoid damage to this precision instrument, do not attempt measurements outside the ranges described in this user manual.
Do not use the meter in direct sunlight or in areas with excessive heat and/or humidity.
Do not immerse the meter in liquid.
UV Safety Information
Always exercise extreme caution when using the meter to test a UV light source. Depending on the exposure time, radiation intensity, wavelength, and individual sensitivity to UV light, exposure to UV radiation can be hazardous.
Overview of the Meter
The device features a light sensor (1), an LCD display (2), a backlight adjustment button (3), a zero button (4), a power on/off button (5), a unit selection button (6), and a data hold button (7). The battery compartment and stand are located on the back of the meter.

Range and Unit Selection
Press the [UNIT] button briefly to switch between ranges (mW/cm² and µW/cm²); the selected range is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Data Hold (Freezing the Measured Value)
Press the [HOLD] button briefly to freeze or unfreeze the displayed measured value.
Backlight
The LCD has a backlight to facilitate reading the display, especially in dimly lit areas. Press the [BACKLIGHT] button briefly to turn on the backlight. The backlight turns off automatically after 10 seconds.
General Measurement Notes
Keep the light sensor clean and free of scratches. Gently remove dust with a dry, lint-free cloth.
