Connect the Smart Plug to Echo Devices
You can connect your Alexa Smart Home devices to Echo devices via Bluetooth connection using voice commands or the Amazon Alexa app.
1. Connect smart plug to Echo with voice commands:
- Ensure your Echo device is correctly configured and has internet access.
- Ensure the smart plug is within the Bluetooth range of your Echo device.
- Power on the smart plug. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
- Use the voice command "Alexa, discover devices" to activate Echo and initiate device discovery.
- Echo will provide a confirmation sound once the smart plug is connected.
2. Connect smart plug to Echo with Amazon Alexa App:
- Download and install the "Amazon Alexa" app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Launch the app and navigate to "Devices" or "More" at the bottom.
- Tap the "+" icon, then select "Add Device", "Plug", "Other", and finally "Discover Devices".
- Once the connection is established, you can view the ON/OFF status of the smart plug and control it from your smartphone. You can also tap the Gear icon to rename the device.
Bluetooth Mesh Networking
You can create a Mesh network with multiple smart devices.
- Connect all devices to Echo.
- Place devices in desired locations where they are inter-connected via Bluetooth.
Operating the Smart Plug
The smart plug can be controlled via voice commands or the Amazon Alexa app.
1. Voice Commands:
- "Alexa, turn on <device name>"
- "Alexa, turn off <device name>"
2. App Control:
Locate the smart plug in the device list within the app and turn it on or off by clicking the Power button.

Notes
- Please update your Echo device's firmware to the latest version before connecting your smart plug to ensure mesh networking capability.
- You can update firmware using the voice command "Alexa, is my software up to date?".
