Troubleshooting

Q: Why did my phone connection fail?

A: Try both Easy Mode and AP Mode, ensuring you follow the guides carefully. Confirm your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz and the password is correct. Remove and reinstall the smart plug. Contact customer support if issues persist.

Q: Why can't I voice control the plug with Alexa/Google?

A: Verify the smart plug is connected and working in the HBN Smart app. Ensure the same account is linked as a skill. Check that your Alexa/Google device is functioning correctly. Use unique and recognizable device names. Consult Alexa/Google support or contact BN-LINK for further assistance.

Q: Do I need to set up the device again if I changed my router?

A: Yes, if the Wi-Fi name or router/modem changes. No setup is needed if only the router's placement is changed within the same house.

Q: Why does it turn on/off or come offline surprisingly?

A: Check for Wi-Fi interruptions or scheduled timers/schedules. Reset and reinstall the plug if necessary. Email support@bn-link.com if the problem continues.
