FCC Compliance
This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules for Class B digital devices, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, try reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, or connecting to a different circuit. Operation is subject to the conditions that the device does not cause harmful interference and accepts any received interference.
Juno LED Trim Kit Compatibility in Recessed Cans
Juno LED Trim Kits are designed to work with most standard UL listed recessed incandescent housings. An E26 adapter must be used with standard medium base incandescent housings. Housing compatibility can be determined by measuring the recessed housing diameter and height. The following chart provides guidelines; actual installation is the best method for determining compatibility.
Feature | RB 4" | RB 5/6" |
---|---|---|
Internal Diameter | 4" min | 5" min |
Internal Height | 3.47" min | 4" min |
Trim Flange Diameter | 5.25" | 7.6" |
Preparation & Installation into Recessed Housing
Trims provided with Torsion Spring Brackets (Models RB56A and RB56AC Only)
- Remove old trim. Ensure input power is 120V. This kit is designed for 5" and 6" recessed housings with torsion spring retaining brackets.
- Install E26 adapter into existing housings with medium base sockets (See Figure 1). Skip to Step 3 if using a dedicated quick connect housing.
- For RB56A models, select desired color temperature using the switch on the trim.
- Pre-bend trim torsion springs to aid installation.
- Plug the orange connector of the E26 socket adapter into the mating orange connector on the trim, pushing firmly to secure (See Figure 2).
- For dedicated quick connect housings, plug the provided connector on the trim into the housing's mating connector, pushing firmly to secure (See Figure 3).
- Insert torsion springs into corresponding retaining brackets, squeezing them together. Slide into brackets, release springs, and gently push trim into housing until flush with ceiling (See Figures 4 & 6). The trim can be aimed by tilting and rotating the adjustable head.
Note: RB56A/RB56AC modules use only torsion springs. No extra grounding connection hardwire kit is supplied. Do not let the module hang unsupported by the connector.
Trims Provided with Retention Spring Clips (Models RB4A and RB4AC Only)
- Remove old trim. Ensure input power is 120V.
- Install E26 adapter into existing housings with medium base sockets (See Figure 1). Skip to Step 3 if using a dedicated quick connect housing.
- For RB4A models, select desired color temperature using the trim switch.
- Slightly tilt the trim head before installation to ensure desired orientation.
- Plug the orange connector of the E26 socket adapter into the trim's mating orange connector, pushing firmly to secure (See Figure 2).
- For dedicated quick connect housings, plug the provided connector on the trim into the housing's mating connector, pushing firmly to secure (See Figure 3).
- Insert friction retention springs into the housing by flexing them inward. Gently push trim into housing until flush with ceiling (See Figures 5 & 6).
Note: RB4A/RB4AC modules use only friction retention springs. No extra grounding connection hardwire kit is supplied. Do not let the module hang unsupported by the connector. Align springs with housing, avoiding obstructions. For removal, pull down and rotate. A flat blade screwdriver may help release clips.
Recommendation: Use gloves to avoid transferring dirt and fingerprints during installation.
Color Temperature Adjustment
For Model SWW5: Select desired CCT (2700K warm, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K cool, or 5000K daylight) by positioning the switch on the trim (See Figure 7).
For Smart Models (RB4AC & RB56AC ONLY): Tunable White CCT settings are configured via supported mobile apps (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings). Refer to the Quick Start Guide for pairing instructions.
Recommended Dimming Switches
For Model SWW5: The LED Modules are compatible with many standard residential dimmers. A list of recommended dimmers is available at www.acuitybrands.com (search keyword: RB4A or RB56A). A dimmer not on the list may still be compatible; consult the dimmer manufacturer for details.
For Smart Models (RB4AC & RB56AC ONLY): These models cannot be wired with wall dimmers. Dimming settings are configured via supported mobile apps.
