Safe Installation and Handling
Ensure all installation steps are followed meticulously by a qualified professional. Pay close attention to safety warnings regarding magnetism and sharp edges. Always wear protective gloves and appropriate personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or during installation.
Electrical Connection
Only authorized professionals or trained service technicians should perform electrical connections. Ensure compliance with local regulations and the electricity provider's standards. The appliance must be connected to a fixed installation with appropriate isolating switches. Refer to the type plate and connection diagrams for precise wiring instructions. Incorrect wiring can lead to malfunctions or damage.
Furniture and Worktop Requirements
The induction hob requires specific furniture and worktop considerations. Ensure adequate ventilation by maintaining minimum clearances between the unit, rear wall, and kitchen wall. The hob must be installed above drawers or ovens with fan ventilation; avoid installing refrigerators, dishwashers, or unventilated ovens underneath. The worktop must be level, stable, and capable of withstanding approximately 60 kg. For thin worktops, use heat and moisture-resistant reinforcement material. Follow the worktop manufacturer's recommendations for sealing and preparation.
Ventilation and Mounting
Proper ventilation is crucial for the hob's performance. Ensure sufficient fresh air intake by adhering to specified clearances and openings in the furniture. When installing the hob, ensure it is correctly seated in the cut-out and that the connection cable is not kinked or trapped. For tiled work surfaces, seal tile joints with silicone rubber.
Special Combinations and Removal
If installing the hob above an oven from a different manufacturer, use a wooden intermediate support. For removal, always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply first and then carefully push the hob out from below.
