Enclosure Elements
- The induction hob may only be installed above ventilated drawers or ovens. Do not install refrigerators, dishwashers, non-ventilated ovens, or washing machines below the hob.
- Ensure the kitchen furniture for installation is heat-resistant up to at least 90 °C.
Worktop
- Follow the worktop manufacturer's recommendations.
- The worktop must be flat, horizontal, and stable.
- The worktop must be able to withstand a load of approximately 60 kg.
- For thin worktops, use heat and moisture-resistant reinforcement material.
- Check the levelness of the hob only after installation.
Hood
The distance between the hood and the hob must correspond to the distance specified in the hood's installation manual.
Installation Procedure
Preparation of Cabinet
- Mark the cut-out in the cabinet according to the installation diagram. Ensure the cut surface angle to the worktop is 90°. [Diagram 1]
- Remove shavings after cutting.
- Seal the cut surfaces with heat-resistant material.
Ventilation
Proper ventilation is crucial for the appliance's function. The lower part of the appliance requires adequate fresh air supply. Adapt cabinets accordingly if necessary.
- Maintain a minimum distance between the rear of the cabinet and the kitchen wall. [Diagram 2]
- Ensure there is an opening at the top of the cabinet's rear wall. [Diagram 3]
- If a minimum distance of 20 mm is not present at the rear of the cabinet, create an opening at the bottom. [Diagram 4]
- Do not seal the bottom base hermetically.
- Note: If installing in a kitchen island or other unspecified location, ensure adequate ventilation for the hob.
Installation Above Drawer
To ensure good ventilation, maintain a clearance of 65 mm between the worktop surface and the top of the drawer. [Diagram 5]
Installation Above Oven
To ensure good ventilation, maintain a clearance of 30 mm between the top of the worktop and the front of the oven, and a minimum clearance of 5 mm between the oven and the hob. Consult the oven's installation manual if a greater distance is required. [Diagram 6]
Mains Cable Connection to Junction Box
For appliances without a pre-installed power unit:
- Turn the hob over and place it on the packaging base, a cloth, or another surface to prevent scratches. [Diagram 7]
- Lift the junction box cover using a screwdriver. [Diagram 8]
- Unscrew the retaining screw and lift the cable clamp with a screwdriver. [Diagram 9]
- Connect the appliance to the junction box only as shown in the diagram: [Diagram 10]
- BN: Brown
- BU: Blue
- GN/YE: Green/Yellow
- BK: Black
- GY: Grey
Note: For 2L/2N connections, adjust the jumper positions according to the diagram.
- After connecting the cables, tighten the screws on the junction box correctly.
- Secure the mains cable with the cable clamp and tighten the retaining screw. [Diagram 11]
- Position the cables in the middle of the junction box. Close the junction box cover.
- If the mains cable interferes with a drawer, secure the cable to the underside of the hob using the supplied cable tie. [Diagram 12]
Inserting the Hob
- Align the hob with the front of the installation niche. [Diagram 13]
- Insert the hob into the cut-out. [Diagram 14]
- For tiled worktops, seal the tile joints with silicone sealant.
- Note: Do not bend or pinch the connecting cable and keep it away from sharp edges and hot parts.
Connecting the Appliance
Refer to the connection data on the type plate.
- Connect only according to the connection diagram: [Diagram 15, Diagram 16]
- BN: Brown
- BU: Blue
- GN/YE: Green/Yellow
- BK: Black
- GY: Grey
Note: Depending on the connection type, you may need to change the factory-supplied terminal configuration. This may involve shortening terminals and removing insulation to insert a terminal that connects two cables.
- Check readiness for operation: If the appliance display shows 1400, E0513, or E, the appliance is not connected correctly. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and check the mains cable connection.
Special Combinations
If installing the hob above an oven from a different brand, use a wooden intermediate base. [Diagram 17]
