How to Use Your Washing Machine

Fire Hazard Warning: Never place items dampened with gasoline or other flammable fluids in the washer. No washer can completely remove oil. Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on it. Doing so can result in death, explosion, or fire.

  1. SORT & LOAD LAUNDRY: See Loading Recommendation section.
  2. ADD HE DETERGENT & LAUNDRY PRODUCTS TO DISPENSERS: Remove the inside tray for powder HE detergent. Follow manufacturer's instructions for amounts.
  3. TOUCH POWER TO TURN ON THE WASHER.
  4. SELECT THE DESIRED CYCLE FOR YOUR LOAD.
  5. ADJUST CYCLE SETTINGS, IF DESIRED.
  6. SELECT ADDITIONAL OPTIONS.
  7. TOUCH AND HOLD START/PAUSE TO BEGIN CYCLE.

Diagram Descriptions

  • Loading Recommendation: For best performance, load items loosely and evenly around the washplate and agitator. Do not lay items length-wise.
  • Water Level:
    • AUTO SENSING & DEEP FILL: The washer adjusts water level to the optimal amount for the detected load size. Touch "DEEP FILL" to add more water. Levels include "Auto", "Medium", "High", "Max Fill".
    • As the load dampens and moves, items settle. This is normal. The washer basket will not appear full of water as with older models; it is normal for some items to be above the water line.
    • WARNING: Do not wash water-resistant or water-repellant clothing. Failure to follow instructions may result in abnormal vibration, imbalance, physical injury, or property damage.
  • Boost Stain Fighting: The EXTRA POWER option increases cleaning power for selected cycles.
  • Water Faucet Operation: Press the faucet button to turn water on/off. It automatically shuts off after 10 minutes or when max water level is reached. Water drains if level is too high or lid is open for 10 minutes.

Cycle Guide

Settings shown are selectable for each cycle. Factory default settings are shown in bold. For best fabric care, choose the cycle that best fits the load. Not all cycles and options are available on all models. Refer to garment label instructions.
