Overview

The Bosch NDE-5702-AL-GOV is a versatile and professional surveillance camera designed for outdoor monitoring. It delivers exceptional image quality, starlight performance, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) at HD 1080p resolution, suitable for demanding security and surveillance network requirements. The camera features built-in Intelligent Video Analytics Pro (IVA Pro) to enhance situational awareness and trigger relevant alerts. Intelligent Video Analytics Pro (IVA Pro)

The camera includes IVA Pro Buildings pre-installed, offering reliable deep-learning based detection and tracking of persons and vehicles in complex environments. It is resistant to false triggers from challenging conditions like rain, wind, snow, and water reflections. The system reliably detects, tracks, and classifies objects. Smart alarm and counter rules can alert operators to predefined events, and recordings can be searched efficiently. Configuration is simplified as calibration is not required. Optional licenses for IVA Pro Perimeter or IVA Pro Traffic are available for specific enterprise use-cases.

Two-way Audio and Built-in Microphone

The camera supports two-way audio communication via an external audio line input and output. An integrated microphone captures crisp audio. Audio detection can generate alarms to alert security operators proactively. The microphone can be disabled via a secure license key if required by local regulations.

DORI Coverage

DORI (Detect, Observe, Recognize, Identify) is a standard system (EN-62676-4) for defining a camera/lens combination's ability to distinguish persons or objects. The table below shows maximum distances for the 2 MP camera with a 3.2-10.5 mm lens:

Scene Modes

Multiple configurable modes are provided with optimized settings for various applications. Users can select fully optimized image settings with a single click to suit different conditions, such as sodium lighting, fast-moving objects, or dark environments.

Durability and Environmental Resistance

The camera is designed for outdoor usage and offers reliable operation across a wide temperature range, from -40 °C to +55 °C (-40 °F to +131 °F). Its robust design is rated to IP66, NEMA 4X, and IK10 standards, providing protection against rain, dust, vandalism, and tampering.

Easy Installation

The mechanical design follows Bosch's installation philosophy, featuring an installation SMB and easy cable management. Power can be supplied via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), requiring only a single cable for view, power, and control. This simplifies installation and reduces costs. The camera supports Auto-MDIX for trouble-free network cabling with straight or cross-over cables.

Automatic Image Rotation

An integrated gyro/accelerometer sensor automatically corrects image orientation in 90° steps if the camera is mounted at an angle or upside down. The image can also be rotated manually. This feature ensures the image is displayed upright at full resolution, even when the camera is mounted at right angles for efficient hallway monitoring.

Hybrid Mode

An analog video output enables hybrid mode operation, providing simultaneous high-resolution HD video streaming and an analog video output via an SMB connector. This facilitates a smooth migration path from legacy CCTV to modern IP-based systems.

System Integration and ONVIF Conformance

The camera conforms to ONVIF Profile S, G, T, and M specifications, including Media Service 2 for H.265 configuration. This conformance ensures interoperability with network video products from various manufacturers. Third-party integrators can access the camera's features for integration into large projects. Modular Accessories

A comprehensive range of modular accessories is available, allowing for consistent design across different cameras and a wide array of installation possibilities. Options include wall or pipe mounts, surveillance cabinets with power, and in-ceiling mounting kits.

IR Illumination

The device features integrated intelligent infrared (IR) capability with adaptive power based on scene content. The IR range extends up to 45 m (148 ft) and is optimized to avoid over-exposure of nearby objects.

Data Security

The camera incorporates robust security measures for device access and data transport. It offers three-level password protection, HTTPS for web browser access, and authenticated secure uploads for firmware updates. Built-in Secure Element (SE) hardware provides Trusted Platform Module (TPM) functionality for enhanced data security and privacy. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) support and future firmware updates with RSA encryption up to 4096 bits ensure long-term data safety. 802.1x network authentication with EAP/TLS is also supported. Advanced certificate handling includes Bosch origin certificates, self-signed certificates, client/server certificates, and encrypted private keys.

Streaming Capabilities

The camera supports four independent encoder streams. Users can configure each stream individually for video resolution and frame rate, select coding standards (H.264/H.265), and configure up to eight encoder profiles per stream.

Edge Recording

The camera supports local alarm recording up to 2 TB via a memory card slot. Pre-alarm recording in RAM reduces network bandwidth and extends memory card life. It offers advanced edge recording with industrial SD card support for extreme lifetime and health monitoring capabilities.

High Dynamic Range (HDR)

The camera's High Dynamic Range technology utilizes a multiple-exposure process to capture more detail in both highlights and shadows within the same scene, enabling clear identification of features like faces even with bright backlight. Actual dynamic range is measured using Opto-Electronic Conversion Function (OECF) analysis according to IEC 62676 Part 5.

Cloud-based Services

The camera supports time-based or alarm-based JPEG posting to four different accounts, including FTP servers or cloud storage. Video clips or JPEG images can also be exported. Alarms can be configured to trigger email or SMS notifications for abnormal events.

Bosch Remote Portal

The Bosch Remote Portal provides secure cloud-based management for connected Bosch devices. It allows for initial configuration, firmware updates, certificate management, and health monitoring of devices.

Project Assistant App

The camera is equipped with a USB-C port for a wireless USB dongle (sold separately), enabling easy wireless initial configuration. The Bosch Project Assistant app, available for iOS, Windows, and Android, facilitates initial setup and lens zoom-focus adjustments.
