Experience the authentic sights and sounds of classic arcade history with the Atari Anniversary Edition for Sega Dreamcast. This collection features Asteroids®, Asteroids Deluxe™, Battlezone®, Centipede®, Crystal Castles®, Gravitar®, Millipede®, Missile Command®, Pong™, Super Breakout®, Tempest®, and Warlords®.
The game is presented with a Sega Dreamcast controller interface. The cover art features the iconic Atari logo with a stylized, icy blue aesthetic, set against a dark, starry background, with the text "ANNIVERSARY EDITION" below it. The ESRB rating is "Everyone".
Important Warnings and Precautions
Health and Epilepsy Warning
A small number of individuals may be susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, common in video games. Consult a doctor before use if you or your family has a history of epilepsy. Parents should monitor children's play. Discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor if experiencing dizziness, blurred vision, eye/muscle twitches, loss of consciousness, disorientation, or convulsions.
Safety Precautions:
- Sit at least 6.5 feet (approx. 2 meters) away from the screen.
- Do not play when tired or sleep-deprived.
- Ensure the playing room is well-lit.
- Take a 10-20 minute break every hour.
Operating Precautions
- Ensure the disc has stopped spinning before removal.
- Use the Sega Dreamcast GD-ROM disc only with the Sega Dreamcast console.
- Keep discs clean and free of fingerprints; avoid bending, touching, smudging, or scratching the surface.
- Do not modify the disc or use damaged discs.
- Do not write on or apply anything to the disc.
- Store discs in their original cases, away from high temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, or heat sources.
- Clean discs gently with lens cleaner and a soft dry cloth, wiping from the center outwards. Avoid chemicals like benzene or paint thinner.
Projection Television Warning
Avoid prolonged or repeated use of video games on large-screen projection televisions, as static images may cause permanent picture tube damage.
Sega Dreamcast Video Game Use
This GD-ROM is for use exclusively with the Sega Dreamcast system. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, rental, or public performance is a violation of applicable laws. Characters and events are fictional.
Getting Started
The Atari Anniversary Edition supports multiplayer games. Connect controllers or peripherals to the Sega Dreamcast control ports before powering on. To return to the title screen during gameplay, simultaneously press and hold the A, B, X, Y, and Start buttons to soft-reset the system.
Sega Dreamcast Hardware Unit
The Sega Dreamcast hardware unit features a Disc Door, Power Button (to turn the unit ON or OFF), Open Button (to open the Disc Door), and Control Ports (A, B, C, D) for connecting up to four controllers.
Controlling the Gameplay
The game utilizes the Sega Dreamcast Controller. Key input devices include:
- Analog Thumb Pad: Used for navigating menu choices and in-game actions (e.g., movement, rotation).
- Directional Button (D-Button): Also used for menu navigation and in-game actions.
- A Button: Selects menu items, fires weapons, jumps, serves, etc., depending on the game.
- B Button: Returns to previous screens, cancels actions, or performs specific functions like hyperspace or shields.
- X Button: Zooms in on images in the Atari Archives, or performs specific game actions (e.g., Alpha Fire).
- Y Button: Accesses the Atari Archives, zooms out on archive screens, or controls specific game actions (e.g., Right Tread Forward in Battlezone).
- Start Button: Pauses the game, accesses options menus, or starts a game.
- Right Trigger: Used for firing weapons (e.g., in Battlezone).
- Left Trigger: Not used in most games.
Important: Do not touch the Analog Thumb Pad or Triggers while turning the Sega Dreamcast power ON to avoid controller initialization issues.

Explore the Atari Archives for background information, interviews, graphics, stories, and audio related to the classic games. Navigation is done via the controller in Port A.

It's Time to Play!: Destroy asteroids with your ship's blaster. Smaller rocks break from larger ones and move faster. Use your ship's thruster for movement and hyperspace for evasion. Watch out for enemy fire.
Default Controls: A Button = Fire; Analog Thumb Pad/D-Button Up = Thrust; B Button = Hyperspace; Analog Thumb Pad/D-Button Left/Right = Rotate Left/Right.
Asteroids Deluxe™

It's Time to Play!: Blast through asteroid swarms and new hazards. Use your shield for protection.

Battlezone™

It's Time to Play!: Steer your tank, destroy enemy tanks, cruise missiles, and saucers.

Centipede®

It's Time to Play!: Shoot insects with your bug blaster. The centipede splits when hit in the middle, leaving a mushroom. Clear mushrooms and watch out for spiders and scorpions.

Warlords®

It's Time to Play!: A four-player game where you deflect fireballs into opponents' castles to destroy them.
