CTCSS/DCS (Tone Squelch)
These features help filter out unwanted transmissions from other users on the same channel. CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch) use specific tones or codes. Both parties must use the same CTCSS/DCS setting to communicate.
