App and Compatibility

This smart power strip is compatible with the Tuya "Smart Life" app and works with all smart devices on the Tuya smart home platform. You can download the app via the provided QR codes or from your phone's app store.

Compatibility requires devices using iOS 8.0 and above with Wi-Fi option, or Android 5.0 and above with Wi-Fi option.

Note: This device does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. Ensure your phone is connected to your router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.

Operating Instructions

Login to the App:

1. Search for and download/install the "Smart Life" App on your phone or tablet.
2. Open the App. You will be prompted to register a user account. Select your country, enter your email, get a Verification Code, and input a secure password to confirm. If you already have a Smart Life account, you can log in directly.

Adding a new Smart power socket:

1. Turn on Wi-Fi on your phone and connect to your local/home network.
2. Plug the smart power strip into the wall socket and turn it on. The LED indicator will start to blink rapidly. [Note: If reset is required, press the power button for several seconds until the LED starts blinking.]
3. Open the "Smart Life" App. The app will likely automatically discover your new smart plug and prompt you to add it. Press the 'add' button. If it's not found automatically, you can add it manually: Click '+' in the upper right corner, select 'Add Device', then 'Electrical', and finally 'Power Strip (Wi-Fi)'.
4. If the indicator on the smart socket is still flashing quickly, click 'next'. Otherwise, reset the socket first and follow the in-app instructions.
5. Select the same connected Wi-Fi network as your phone or tablet and enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap 'Confirm'.
6. The smart socket will connect to the App. Upon successful connection, the App will display 'Smart power strip added successfully'. Tap 'Done' to finish. The smart socket is now added to your device list.

Device Control in the App

After adding the smart power strip, you can manage it through the app:

• 1. Turn complete power strip on/off: A main switch to control all sockets.
• 2. Turn USB ports on/off: Control the power to the USB charging ports.
• 3. Turn individual socket on/off: Control each of the four AC sockets independently.
• 4. Edit power strip name: Customize the name of the device in the app.
• 5. Settings: Access various device settings.
• 6. Edit socket name: Customize the name for each individual socket.
• 7. Timer schedule options: Set up schedules for automatic on/off operations.

Power Metering

The app provides power metering functionality, allowing you to monitor the electricity consumption of connected devices. You can view current (mA), power (W), voltage (V), and total consumption (kWh).

Timer Schedule

The timer schedule window allows you to automate when each individual socket turns on or off. Available functions include:

• Countdown: Turn a socket on for a specific duration.
• Schedule: Set exact times for sockets to turn on or off.
• Circulate: Set a programmed time sequence for turning the socket on and off (e.g., 2 minutes on, 10 minutes off).
• Random: Turn the socket on/off at a random moment close to the set time for a more natural feel.
• Inching: Set the duration the socket remains on after being manually switched on.

Settings

In the settings menu, you can configure:

• Relay Status: Decide if the socket remembers its last status when plugged in.
• Child Lock: Disable the manual switching function of the power button on the smart socket to prevent accidental switching.
