Installing the TV to the Wall
Note: Instructions about “Installing the TV to the Wall” are included within this TV’s instruction manual. Read the supplied safety documentation for additional safety information.
The identification label, containing the TV Model No. and Power Supply rating, is located on the rear of the TV and can be found by removing the terminal cover.
Your TV can be mounted to a wall using a suitable Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied). If the Table-Top Stand is attached, it may require detaching the stand.
Prepare the TV for the Wall-Mount Bracket before making cable connections.
For product protection and safety, Sony strongly recommends wall installation by qualified professionals. Do not attempt installation yourself.
- Follow the instruction guide provided with the Wall-Mount Bracket. Sufficient expertise is required, especially to determine wall strength for the TV’s weight.
- Screws for installing the Wall-Mount Bracket to the TV are not supplied.
- Store unused screws and Table-Top Stand safely until needed. Keep screws away from children.
Installation Steps (Models with Table-Top Stand only):
- Remove the stand covers and terminal covers.
- Remove the screws from the rear of the TV.
- Attach the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied) using the screws (not supplied).
Diagrams show the process of removing covers, screws, and attaching the bracket. For models without a Table-Top Stand, the bracket is attached directly to the rear of the TV.
Note: If using an electric screwdriver, set torque to approximately 1.5 N·m {15 kgf·cm}. Ensure the TV is vertical before powering on. Do not power on the TV with the panel facing down to avoid uneven picture uniformity.

Troubleshooting
General troubleshooting for issues like black screen, no sound, frozen picture, TV not responding, or network loss:
- Restart your TV by pressing the power button on the remote control for about five seconds. If the TV does not recover, unplug the AC power cord, press and release the power button on the TV, wait two minutes, then plug the AC power cord back in. Alternatively, press and hold the power button on the TV for about 40 seconds until it turns off.
- Refer to the Help menu. Access it by pressing (Quick Settings) on the remote control and selecting [Help]. If [Help] is not available, select [Edit] and add it.
- Connect your TV to the Internet and perform a software update. Sony recommends keeping TV software updated for new features and performance improvements.
- Visit the Sony support website (information provided in the supplied safety documentation).
Specific Issues:
- TV not turning on immediately: When plugged in, the TV may take up to one minute to initialize. Wait before operating.
- Remote control not functioning: Replace the batteries.
- Parental lock password forgotten: Enter 9999 for the PIN and then enter the new PIN.
- Screen becomes darker while watching TV: If an image remains static for a period, the screen brightness may reduce to prevent image retention. This is not a malfunction.
- Concern about image retention: Displaying static images (especially with logos or bright colors) for extended periods can cause image retention. Turn off the TV normally to reduce this risk.
- [Panel refresh did not finish...] message: This can occur if the TV is turned on, the AC power cord is unplugged, or the room temperature is outside the 10 °C – 45 °C range during panel refresh. Avoid these conditions during panel refresh.
