Assembly Information
Step A: Cable Preparation
Place the bushing (1) and chuck (2) over the cable. Important: Chuck and Bushing cannot be placed over the cable after the assembly or the insert.
Step B: Cable Preparation
Prepare the cable as shown. For 2-pole connectors, strip 27 mm [1.06"] of the outer jacket and 9 mm [0.35"] of the inner conductors. For 4-pole connectors, strip 27 mm [1.06"] of the outer jacket and 9 mm [0.35"] of the inner conductors.
Step C: Wiring and Clamping
Slide the cable into the contacts and clamp. For 2-pole wiring, connect to terminals 1+ and 1-. For 4-pole wiring, connect to terminals 1+, 1-, 2+, and 2-.
Torque Value: 0.7 Nm (6.2 inch-pounds) using a T8 Torx size bit.
Step D: Chuck and Insert Assembly
Position chuck (1) on insert (2).
Step E: Housing Assembly
Slide insert (2) with chuck (1) together into housing (3). Important: Align the chuck by positioning the nose into the keyway. Slide bushing (4) over chuck (1).
Step F: Final Tightening
Hold the connector with the Neutrik tool (5) HTLACA and tighten the bushing with the Neutrik tool (6) HTLACB. For an exact mounting position, use a torque wrench with a 27 mm (1 1/8 inch) hex bit (7) and tighten it to 2.5 Nm (22 inch-pounds / 1.8 lb-ft).
Finished Connector
The finished connectors are the NL2FXX-W-* and NL4FXX-W-* models.
Disassembly Information
For Disassembly:
- Use the Neutrik tool HTLACB.
- Position the tool on the surfaces and open the clamping sleeve.
Safety Information
❗ CAUTION: To ensure protection category, do not expose the connection to bending forces (e.g., do not attach loads to the cable, no free-dangling cable windings etc.).
⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: For safety and certification reasons, the connector must be replaced in case of any broken parts or excessive wear and tear.
