Basic Detector Functions
Quick Start Guide
- Activation: Turn on your detector. The LCD screen will light up with several icons. [⚡ Power]
- Start Detecting: Sweep the device over the ground in a side-to-side motion. The detector will light up and emit a tone when a metal object is found.
Sweep Level
Keep the device 1-2 inches (2-3 cm) [? Height] above the ground and parallel to it at all times.
Speed
Sweep the device over the ground in a side-to-side motion. The average sweep speed is 1-2 seconds from left to right. [⏩ Speed]
Object Found
The detector lights up and beeps when a target is discovered. [? Target Found]
Setting
The detector should be aligned with your forearm and be light and comfortable when you hold it. [?️ Ergonomics]
Complete Coverage
Slightly overlap the previous sweep to ensure complete ground coverage. [? Overlap]
Spacing
The recommended distance is 15m (50ft) between each device when multiple users are sweeping an area. [↔️ Distance]
Treasure View (GO-FIND 44/66 Only)
Treasure View LEDs light up when a metal object has been detected. The closer you are to the target, the more LEDs light up.
- RED: Indicates a ferrous metal object (possibly trash). [?️ Trash]
- GREEN: Indicates a non-ferrous metal object (possibly treasure). [? Treasure]
- ORANGE: Indicates 'pinpoint' mode for all metal objects. [? Pinpoint]
LEDs light up from left to right when 'pinpoint' mode is deactivated. LEDs light up towards the center when 'pinpoint' mode is activated, helping to identify the exact location of the object.
Icon Descriptions
When a metal object is detected, the corresponding icon flashes on the control panel to indicate the target type. If an icon is deactivated (not visible), these types of objects will not be detected.
- Iron Objects, Nails, and Horseshoes: [? Iron]
- Aluminum Foil and Low-Value Coins: [? Foil/Coin]
- Rings, Pull-Tabs, and Low-Value Coins: [? Ring/Tab]
