User Manual – Recumbent inSPORTline Velocer RMB

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective use of your inSPORTline Velocer RMB recumbent exercise bike.

Safety Instructions

  • Read the manual carefully before first use and keep it for future reference.
  • Regularly check the exerciser for damage and worn parts to ensure optimal safety.
  • Ensure any new user is familiar with the instructions before using the exerciser.
  • Only one person should use the exerciser at a time.
  • Ensure all screws, bolts, and other joints are properly tightened before each use.
  • Remove any sharp-edged objects from the vicinity of the exerciser before starting your workout.
  • Only use the exerciser if it is in perfect working order.
  • Replace any broken, worn, or defective parts immediately, or discontinue use until repaired.
  • Adult supervision is required for children using the exerciser. Assess their physical and mental condition and temperament. The exerciser is not a toy.
  • Ensure sufficient free space around the exerciser during setup.
  • Keep children away from the exerciser unsupervised to prevent misuse due to their natural play instinct.
  • Improper or excessive workouts can be harmful to your health.
  • Ensure adjustment levers do not protrude into the workout area.
  • Set up the exerciser on a stable, even surface. Use a non-slip mat if necessary to protect the floor.
  • Ensure no adjustable part obstructs user movement.
  • Wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for workouts. Clothes should not catch on any part of the exerciser. Shoes should support the feet and have non-slip soles.
  • Consult a physician before starting any exercise program for personalized advice on intensity, workout, and nutrition.
  • Assemble the exerciser using only the provided parts and follow the assembly instructions. Check the parts list for completeness before assembly.
  • Set up the exerciser in a dry, even place, protected from humidity.
  • Exercisers and training devices are not toys and should only be used by informed or instructed persons.
  • Stop your workout immediately if you experience dizziness, nausea, chest pain, or any other adverse physical symptoms. Consult a physician if in doubt.
  • Children, disabled, or handicapped persons should use the exerciser only under supervision and with assistance.
  • Keep body parts away from moving parts during use.
  • Ensure adjustable parts are properly adjusted, noting maximum adjustment positions.
  • Do not exercise immediately after meals.

WARNING: A heart rate monitoring system may not be accurate. Overloading during training may cause serious injury or death. If you feel any discomfort, stop exercising immediately!

Product Description

The inSPORTline Velocer RMB is a recumbent exercise bike designed for effective and comfortable workouts. Key components include:

  • 1. Seat: Adjustable and comfortable seating.
  • 2. Backrest: Provides support during workouts.
  • 3. Heart rate sensors: Integrated into the handles for monitoring.
  • 4. Power cable: Connects the unit to a power source.
  • 5. Rear stabilizer: Ensures stability at the back of the unit.
  • 6. Pedals: For leg workout.
  • 7. Front stabilizer: Ensures stability at the front of the unit.
  • 8. Middle post: Connects the main frame to the console.
  • 9. Handles: For user grip and stability, may contain heart rate sensors.
  • 10. Console: Displays workout data and controls.

Assembly

Before assembly: Ensure all parts are available. A minimum of 0.6 m of free space is required around the device. Check all connections regularly. Place the device on a flat, firm surface. For indoor use only.

Tools provided: Allen key 5mm, Allen key 6mm, Wrench with screw.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Step 1: Attach the front stabilizer (G) and rear stabilizer (H) to the main frame (A) using Allen bolts (43).
  2. Step 2: Unscrew bolt (48) and remove washers (68, 67). Pull the cord through the string before attaching the seat frame (M). Do not pull the cable forcefully.
  3. Step 3: Connect the red and blue cables. Fix the handles (N) with Allen bolts (85).
  4. Step 4: Attach the seat (93) to the frame (M) using Allen bolts (48) and washers (68).
  5. Step 5: Attach the backrest (94) to the frame (M) using Allen bolts (98) and flat washers (19).
  6. Step 6: Slide the cover (90) onto the main frame. Connect the cables from the main frame to the console post (I). Fix the console post (I) with Allen screws (48).
  7. Step 7: Attach the handles (J) using Allen bolts (48).
  8. Step 8: Connect the console cables to the cables from the post. Ensure cables are not pinched. Slide the bracket into the tab on the post and secure with Phillips screws (27).
  9. Step 9: Attach the pedals (96 and 97) using a wrench. Ensure they are tightened properly (indicated by arrows: Loose/Tight).

Use

Seat Position

The seat position can be adjusted using the red lever. The saddle can be rotated 180° using the yellow lever.

Quick Control

The console offers quick control options for your workout.

Start / Stop

Press the START button to begin a program. Press the STOP/PAUSE button to pause the program. You can then resume or turn off the console.

Intensity +/-

Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the exercise intensity (resistance level).

Mounting / Dismounting

To mount, press the yellow lever to turn the saddle and face forward. To dismount, press the yellow lever and turn away from the console.

Transport

To move the machine, grasp it by the rear stabilizer and tilt it onto the transport wheels at the front.

WARNING: Do not move the machine as shown in the incorrect diagrams.

Console Features

The console features a TFT LCD display, various control buttons, speakers, and charging ports.

  • 1. Buttons: Control various functions.
  • 2. TFT LCD display: Shows workout data.
  • 3. Energy saving: Indicates energy saving mode.
  • 4. Wireless charger: For charging smart devices (up to 7.2-inch display, dimensions 24 x 9.4 cm). Ensure metal covers, stickers, or rings are removed before charging.
  • 5. Control buttons: Includes START, STOP/PAUSE, INTENSITY +/-, VOLUME +/-, HIIT, ENTER.
  • 6. 3D speakers: For audio output.
  • 7. USB-A port: For data transfer or charging.
  • 8. USB-C port: For data transfer or charging.

Button Functions:

  • STOP/PAUSE (1): Stops or pauses the program.
  • START (2): Starts the program.
  • POWER (3): Turns the console on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.
  • INTENSITY (4): Increases/decreases resistance.
  • WIRELESS CHARGING (5): Indicates wireless charging status.
  • VOLUME (6): Increases/decreases speaker volume.
  • HIIT (7): Selects the High-Intensity Interval Training program.
  • ENTER (8): Adjusts user data.

Power On & Modes:

  • Power On: The console displays a logo and enters standby mode.
  • QUICK START: Select this option to begin a workout immediately.
  • PROGRAMS: Requires creating or selecting a user account.
  • SLEEP MODE: The console enters sleep mode after 300 seconds of inactivity.

Settings:

Access the settings menu to configure:

  • UNIT: Metric / English (Imperial).
  • INTENSITY MODE: Auto Mode (Speed independent) or Manual Mode (Speed dependent).
  • EXERCISE DISPLAY: WATT or METs.
  • KEY SOUND: ON / OFF.
  • SLEEP MODE: Enable or disable sleep mode.
  • UPDATE: Update firmware via USB.

Language:

Multiple language options are available, including English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español, Polski, 繁體中文, and 日本語.

Bluetooth Connectivity (iOS & Android):

Pairing:

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on the console. The pairing icon will flash.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device (phone/tablet).
  3. Select "BT-Speaker" from the list of available devices on your smart device.
  4. Once connected, the Bluetooth icon will be displayed, and you can control the volume.

Note: To disconnect, follow the on-screen instructions or disconnect via your device's Bluetooth settings.

APP Connection:

The console can connect to applications using the FTMS protocol for features like Bluetooth chest strap connection, wireless charging, and phone/speaker integration.

Workout Data Displayed:

  • PULSE: Heart rate (bpm), displayed when using a chest belt or handle sensors.
  • BLUETOOTH: Icon appears if a chest belt is connected to a third-party app.
  • CALORIES: Calories burned during exercise.
  • TIME: Duration of the workout.
  • RPM/SPEED: Revolutions per minute or speed (km/h).
  • DISTANCE: Distance covered during the workout (km).
  • KJ: Energy expended by momentary movement.
  • WATT: Exercise power output.
  • INTENSITY: Current exercise resistance level.
  • WIRELESS CHARGER: Icon displayed when charging.
  • VOLUME: Speaker volume level.

Account Creation:

To use program features, create a user profile by entering your Name, Age, Height, and Weight. You can also select an avatar. After setting data, press '✓' to save. You can edit or remove profiles later.

Workout Programs

The Velocer RMB offers 25 different workout programs, including:

  • Manual: Basic workout control.
  • Countdown Programs: Time, Distance, Calories countdowns. Set your target value and confirm.
  • Warm Up: A 3-minute warm-up phase.
  • Pre-set Programs: 10 programs with varying resistance levels. Select a program, set time and level, then confirm.
  • Constant Speed: Program automatically adjusts resistance to maintain a set speed. Set target speed and confirm.
  • Constant Watt: Program automatically adjusts load to maintain a set power output. Set target Watt and confirm.
  • HRC (Heart Rate Control): Choose from 60%, 80%, or a custom target heart rate. The program adjusts resistance to keep your heart rate within the target zone. Requires a chest strap or handle sensors.
  • Recovery: A test to estimate VO2 max. Requires constant heart rate measurement. The test has phases based on heart rate zones and provides a recovery score (1-5 stars).
  • User Mode X3: Create custom workout programs with up to 3 programs, each divided into 30 segments. Adjust intensity for each segment.
  • HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training): Features 4 difficulty levels (primary, intermediate, advanced, challenge) with adjustable segments and rest times. Includes warm-up, sprint, recovery, and cool-down phases indicated by color.

Workout Summary: After completing a workout, a summary displaying metrics like Duration, Distance, Calories, Avg. Pulse, Max. Pulse, Avg. Speed, Avg. Watt, and Total KJ is shown. You can choose to Skip or Save the workout data.

Accumulated Workout Summary: Access workout history by pressing the profile picture on the console. Options include Log Out, History, and Reset.

Advantages of Recumbency

Recumbent exercise bikes offer several benefits:

  • Back Support: Provides excellent lumbar support, promoting better posture compared to upright bikes.
  • Joint Protection: Reduces stress on knees and ankles due to the stable seating position.
  • Comfort: Features a larger, more comfortable saddle than traditional exercise bikes.
  • Accessibility: Suitable for individuals with neurological disorders or joint issues like rheumatoid arthritis, due to better weight distribution.

Exercising Instructions

A successful workout includes warm-up and cool-down phases to prepare muscles and prevent injuries.

  • Warm-up: Prepare your body for the main workout.
  • Cool-down: Relax muscles after the workout.

Recommended stretches:

  • Touching your toes: Slowly bend from the hips, keeping back and arms relaxed. Hold for 15 seconds.
  • Upper thigh stretch: Stand, lift foot to buttock, hold for 30 seconds per leg.
  • Hamstring stretch: Sit with one leg extended, pull other foot to inner thigh, reach towards toes. Hold for 15 seconds per leg.
  • Inside upper thigh stretch: Sit with feet together, pull towards groin, press knees down gently. Hold for 30-40 seconds.
  • Calves and Achilles tendon stretch: Lean against a wall with one leg forward, stretch back leg, bend front leg. Hold for 30-40 seconds per leg.

Maintenance, Storage, and Important Notices

Maintenance

  • Clean the unit with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner.
  • Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Wipe electrical parts with a dry cloth only; avoid contact with water.

Storage

Store the recumbent in a clean, dry environment with the power switch off and unplugged.

Important Notice

  • This exercise bike meets standard safety regulations for commercial use. Any other use is prohibited and may be dangerous. inSPORTline is not responsible for injuries from improper use.
  • Consult your doctor before starting any training program. They can assess your fitness and recommended effort levels. Incorrect exercise can harm your health.
  • Pain, nausea, breathing difficulties, or other health problems during exercise require immediate cessation and medical consultation if symptoms persist.
  • This exercise bike is not intended for professional, medical, or therapeutic purposes.
  • The heart rate monitor is not a medical device and provides approximate information. Suggested pulse rates are not medically binding. Data accuracy can be affected by uncontrollable factors.

Environment Protection

Dispose of the product at the end of its lifespan according to local laws and environmentally friendly practices. Protect the environment and human health by proper disposal. Contact local authorities for guidance on correct disposal.

Do not dispose of batteries with household waste; recycle them appropriately.

Terms and Conditions of Warranty, Warranty Claims

General Conditions of Warranty

Warranty conditions are governed by Act No. 89/2012 Coll. Civil Code and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., Consumer Protection, as amended.

Seller: SEVEN SPORT s.r.o., Strakonická street 1151/2c, Prague 150 00, Czech Republic.

Buyer: Defined as either an End Customer (not acting for business purposes) or a Businessman (acting for business purposes).

These conditions are an integral part of every Purchase Agreement.

Warranty Period

A 24-month warranty for goods quality is provided, unless otherwise specified. This does not affect the legal warranty period for consumers.

Battery Warranty: 6-month warranty, guaranteeing nominal capacity does not fall below 70% of total capacity.

Warranty Exclusions:

The warranty does not cover defects resulting from:

  • User fault (improper repair, assembly, pedal/crank tightening).
  • Improper maintenance.
  • Mechanical damages.
  • Regular wear and tear (rubber/plastic parts, moving mechanisms, brake pads, chain, tires, etc.).
  • Unavoidable events or natural disasters.
  • Adjustments by unqualified persons.
  • Improper placement, damage from temperature extremes, water, pressure, shocks, or intentional design changes.

Warranty Claim Procedure:

The Buyer must inspect goods immediately upon delivery. Proof of purchase (Invoice/Bill of Delivery with serial number) is required for claims. The Seller may reject claims without proper documentation. Costs may be charged for claims not covered by warranty or for false claims. The Seller will repair or exchange defective goods within 30 days, unless a longer period is agreed upon. The Seller reserves the right to choose the claim settlement method.
