Getting Started

1. Inserting the batteries/connecting the power supply

Installing or Replacing Batteries

High-quality batteries are recommended for best performance. Heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Outdoor sensors may require lithium batteries in low-temperature conditions, as cold temperatures can cause alkaline batteries to function improperly. Do not mix old and new batteries, or mix alkaline, standard, and/or rechargeable batteries.

Default Settings

The LCD display will be fully lit for 3 seconds when changing batteries or resetting. After testing temperature and barometer, it will receive RF for 3 minutes.

Display / Keys Details

There are 7 keys: MEMERY, ALERT, ALARM, SNZ/LIGHT, DOWN, UP, MODE.

  1. MEMERY button: Press to display MAX/MIN temperature/humidity and Heat index/Dew point values. Press and hold for 3 seconds to clear MAX/MIN records.
  2. ALERT button: Press to turn the alert on or off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter alert setting mode.
  3. ALARM button: Press to turn alarm1 and alarm2 on or off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode.
  4. SNZ/LIGHT button: Press to turn on the backlight for 15 seconds (without adapter). Press to activate snooze when alarming. Press to turn on/off backlight (with adapter), with three levels: HIGH > LOW > OFF. Note: Backlight turns off automatically during RCC reception.
  5. DOWN button: Press to decrease setting value. Press and hold for 2 seconds for fast adjustment. Press to select the channel. Press and hold to search for RF signal.
  6. UP button: Press to increase setting value. Press and hold for 2 seconds for fast adjustment.
  7. MODE button: Press and hold to enter time, atmospheric pressure, and weather pattern setting modes.

Manually Setting the Time, Date & Units

Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. Use UP and DOWN buttons to adjust values and MODE to confirm and move to the next setting.

The setting sequence is: 12/24 hour mode > Hour > Minute > Date display format (Month/Date or Date/Month) > Year > Month > Day > Weekday language > Temperature unit (°C/°F) > Barometer unit > Weather pattern.

Settings will be automatically saved and exited if no buttons are pressed for 20 seconds.

Setting the Alarm

Press the ALARM button to turn alarm1 and alarm2 on or off. The alarm icon will appear or disappear.

Press and hold the ALARM button for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The setting order is: Alarm1 Hour > Alarm1 Minute > Alarm1 Repeat (M-F, S-S, or M-F & S-S) > Alarm1 Snooze time > Alarm2 Hour > Alarm2 Minute > Alarm2 Repeat > Alarm2 Snooze.

Press ALARM (or no key for 20 seconds) to exit and save settings.

Alarm and snooze

When the alarm is beeping, the alarm icon will flash. Press the SNZ/LIGHT button to activate snooze. To turn off the alarm, press any key other than SNZ/LIGHT.

Indoor / Outdoor Temperature and Humidity

Accuracy

Temperature Alert Set

  1. In normal mode, press ALERT to open or close the temperature alert function.
  2. Press and hold the ALERT button for 2 seconds to set the temperature alert function.
  3. Setting order: outdoor high limit > outdoor low limit > indoor high limit > indoor low limit > exit.
  4. Use UP or DOWN buttons to change the value.

Temperature Alert

The ice icon ? will flash when the outdoor temperature is between -1°C ~ +2.9°C (+30.2°F ~ +37.3°F). The icon disappears when the temperature is outside this range.

Displaying Temperature/Humidity Trend

The LCD shows current indoor temperature/humidity and their trends. After connecting with the remote sensor, it displays remote temperature/humidity and trends.

Moon Phase

The moon phase column displays the moon phase level in 12 levels. A full moon is fully lit.

There are three levels of tide display: High > Medium > Low.

Weather Forecast

The unit predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes. Accuracy is approximately 70-75%.

Forecast Icons:

Note: Weather forecast readings should be disregarded for the first 24 hours after setup to allow the station to collect data for more accurate forecasts. Absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

Barometer Trend

The barometer trend arrow indicates changes. If the barometer rises or falls by 1 HPA within an hour, the arrow moves accordingly. If the change is less than 1 HPA, the arrow remains horizontal.

Indoor Comfort Display

Outdoor Sensor Function

After setup and synchronization, the display unit registers the outdoor sensor. This can take up to 3 minutes. The signal strength indicator shows the connection strength. If the signal is weak or lost, try repositioning the units.

If the RF signal is lost for 1 hour, outdoor temperature/humidity will flash. After 2 hours, '---' will be displayed. To manually restart RF registration, press and hold the DOWN button for 3 seconds.

Setting the Channel

To change the channel on the display unit (1, 2, 3, or 1-3 sequential display), press the DOWN button. The channel setting appears below the outdoor temperature.

To change the channel on the outdoor sensor, open the battery compartment and use the button on the upper right side.

Ensure the channel selected on the display unit matches the channel selected on the outdoor sensor.

Low Battery Indicator

If the low battery indicator appears on the LCD for either unit, replace the batteries immediately to ensure uninterrupted communication.

Placement of the Device

Proper placement is critical for accuracy and performance.

Display Unit Placement

Place the display unit in a dry, dust-free area. It can be used upright on a tabletop or countertop.

Important Placement Guidelines

[Diagram showing TV, Computer, Microwave, Radio at least 3ft (0.9m) away from the Weather Station units. The distance between the Display Unit and Outdoor Sensor should be within 200 feet (60 meters).
