Setting Up the Planetarium Projector

  1. Open the battery cover at the bottom of the unit and insert 3 AA size batteries. Refer to the "Battery Installation Section". Replace the battery cover firmly.
  2. Place the unit on its stand (15) on a flat and stable platform (e.g., a table). The optimum projection distance is about 1.8m to 2m (6 to 6.5 ft.).
  3. Press the Slide Tray Eject Button (7) to open the tray and install a star disc (16). Note: The keys on the disc must match the ridges on the tray.
  4. While the slide tray is open, set the time and date for the night sky you wish to view by aligning the desired date on the Date Dial with the desired hour on the Time Scale.

Diagram Description: An illustration shows the projector at the recommended projection distance. Another illustration shows how to open the tray and insert a star disc. A close-up shows the Time Scale and Date Dial controls.

Understanding the Time and Date Dials

Time Scale (Fixed)

The Time Scale displays time from 20:00 (8 p.m.) to 02:00 (2 a.m.). Align the Date Dial with the Time Scale to project stars at a particular time. Each subdivision equals 30 minutes.

Diagram Description: A visual representation of the Time Scale, showing hours and 30-minute subdivisions.

Date Dial (Adjustable)

The Date Dial covers 365 days. Adjust the dial to project stars for a specific date. Each subdivision equals 2 days, with the long mark indicating the last day of the previous month.

Diagram Description: A visual representation of the Date Dial, showing months and days, with subdivisions marked. An example shows alignment for July 7th at midnight, and another for December 30th at 22:30.

Example 1:

To see the star pattern at midnight (00:00) on July 7th, align 00:00 on the Time Scale with July 7th. The position for the 7th will be between the 6th and 8th marks.

Example 2:

To see the star pattern at 22:30 (10:30 p.m.) on December 30th, align 22:30 on the Time Scale with December 30th. The small marking represents 3 days, so the 30th would be at 2/3 of the marking. This setting also applies to January, March, May, July, August, and October. Note that the 28th and 29th of February share the same mark.

Operating the Projector

  1. Close the tray. Ensure you are facing north when looking at the projector from the front. Do not adjust the Date Dial when the tray is closed; open it again to set the date. Alternatively, use the Rotate Left (8) or Rotate Right (5) buttons while the unit is on.
  2. Press the ON/STOP/OFF switch (1) once to turn on the projector light. For the best visual experience, dim or turn off the room lights. The unit cannot be turned on when the tray is open.
  3. You can freely adjust the projection angle of the head over the stand (15) to view on the ceiling or sidewall.
  4. Adjust the focus dial (14) until the projected star field is sharp. The optimum projection distance is 1.8m to 2m. The image will become blurry if the distance is too near or too far.

Diagram Description: An illustration shows the projector's adjustable head. An arrow indicates the focus dial.

Using the Star Motion Function

  1. Press the Rotate Left Button (8) to rotate the night sky anticlockwise, simulating the motion of stars in the Northern Hemisphere. Pressing the button again increases rotation speed. There are five speeds available, with each press selecting a higher speed. The Rotate Left Indicator (9) will blink according to the speed. Press the "ON/STOP/OFF" button to stop the motion.
  2. Similarly, press the Rotate Right Button (5) to rotate the stars clockwise, simulating the motion of stars in the Southern Hemisphere. Five speeds are also selectable.

Using the Shooting Star Function

When the night sky is rotating, press the Shooting Star Button (10) to enable the shooting star function. A shooting star will appear at regular intervals, appearing more frequently at higher rotation speeds. Press the button again to disable the function.

Using the Timer Function

Press the Sleep Timer button (2) to enable a 30 or 60-minute sleep timer. The corresponding LED indicator (3 or 4) will show the selected timer. To disable the Sleep Timer, press the timer button until both indicator lights are off. The projector will automatically turn off after 2 hours to conserve battery power.

Powering OFF

Press and hold the ON/STOP/OFF (1) button to turn off the projector.

Pairing Another Device
