Connecting to the Speaker

Connecting with the EDGE App

To connect your speaker using Wi-Fi:

  1. Search for the EDGE by Sharper Image app on the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). Download and install it.
  2. Power the speaker ON by long pressing the [Power/Alexa Button].
  3. Open the EDGE app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the speaker.

NOTE: Ensure your device is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network, not a 5G network, when connecting the speaker via the EDGE app.

When the speaker is in Wi-Fi mode, the color ring will turn solid LIGHT BLUE.

Pairing with Bluetooth

  1. Press the [Mode Button] to switch to Bluetooth mode. A voice prompt will be heard, and the speaker lights will flash.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "SWF1002" from the list of found devices to pair.
  4. After successful pairing, a tone will indicate the connection.

When the speaker is in Bluetooth mode, the color ring will turn solid BLUE.

If a previously paired device is in range when the speaker is turned on, it will connect automatically.

Connecting with the Auxiliary Cable

  1. Attach one end of the supplied 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the [Auxiliary Jack] on the back of the speaker.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to auxiliary input mode.
  3. Attach the other end of the cable to the headphone jack of your audio device.

When the speaker is in auxiliary mode, the color ring will turn solid GREEN.

Using the Speaker

Powering ON/OFF

Long press the [Power/Alexa Button] to power the speaker ON or OFF.

Changing Input Modes

Quickly press the [Mode Button] to cycle through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Auxiliary input modes.

Adjusting Volume

Long press the [Volume Up Button] or [Volume Down Button] to adjust the volume. Alternatively, use the volume controls on your paired device or within the mobile app.

Using Alexa (Alexa ONLY)

Once set up, Alexa can be activated by voice command or by pressing the [Power/Alexa Button] for immediate access.

Using the Speaker with Alexa

The SWF1002 offers extensive integration with Amazon Alexa. To use Alexa, you must log in (or create an account) at Alexa.Amazon.com and then log in via the EDGE by Sharper Image app.

Once logged in, you can use Alexa functions with the speaker. Consult Amazon's Alexa website for tutorials and settings adjustments.

To interact with Alexa, speak aloud, starting your sentences with "Alexa." For example: "Alexa, what is the weather?" or "Alexa, play some music."

NOTE: For optimal Alexa voice recognition, it is recommended to keep the volume around 75% within the EDGE app.

Charging the Speaker

To charge the speaker:

  1. Attach the small end of the supplied micro-USB cable to the [Micro-USB Port] on the side of the speaker.
  2. Attach the large end of the cable to a USB port on a computer, a USB charging device, or a 5V USB adapter.

The [Charging LED] will turn RED while charging and turn OFF when the speaker is fully charged.

IMPORTANT: Charge your speaker for at least 3-5 hours before using it for the first time.

Playing Music

Music can be played through the speaker via the EDGE by Sharper Image mobile app, by pairing your device via Bluetooth, or by connecting a 3.5mm auxiliary cable. Refer to the "Connecting to the Speaker" section for details.

WARNING Li-ion Battery Inside

This product is fitted with a Li-ion battery. Do not damage, open, or dismantle the battery. Do not use it in damp and/or corrosive conditions. Use only with compatible chargers. Never dispose of batteries in a fire, and never expose them to high temperatures. Do not expose the product to temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F).

RECYCLE: The crossed-out garbage bin symbol [♻️] means that you must not dispose of this product together with unsorted household waste.

Rain/Moisture Warning

Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures (heat or cold), open flames, humid conditions, or wet conditions. Do not submerge in water. Do not open this product or attempt to repair the unit yourself should it not be working.

Limited Warranty

90 Days Limited Warranty

In the unlikely event that this product is defective or does not perform properly, you may, within ninety (90) days from your original date of purchase, return it to the authorized service center for repair or exchange.

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:

  1. Call the Customer Support number located below, or visit the website portal to receive an SRO number.
  2. Provide proof of the date of purchase (dated bill of sale) within the package.
  3. Prepay all shipping costs to the authorized service center and insure your return.
  4. Include a return shipping address (no P.O. Boxes), a telephone contact number, and the defective unit within the package.
  5. Describe the defect or reason for returning the product.

Your product will be repaired or replaced, at the company's option, with the same or a similar model of equal value if examination by the service center determines the product is defective. Products received damaged as a result of shipping will require you to file a claim with the carrier.

Warranty Service Not Provided

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, lack of reasonable care, and unauthorized modification. This warranty is voided if any unauthorized person opens, alters, or repairs this product.

All products being returned to the authorized service center for repair must be suitably packaged.

Limitation of Warranty

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
