DeLonghi ECAM 21.xxx/22.xxx Service: Test Modes and Procedures
Component Test Mode
To start the component test mode, press and hold the '2 Cups Coffee Button' and the 'Steam Button', then plug in the power cord. Release the buttons when the LEDs turn off. The test mode is now active.

⚙️ (Rinse Button) | Grinder ⚙️ | The grinder is activated as long as the 'Rinse Button' is pressed. |
⬆️ + ☕ (1-Cup Coffee Button) | Brew Group Drive | When pressing the '1-Cup Coffee Button', the brew group drive moves up or down. The drive stops when it reaches the limit switches. |
When the upper limit switch is reached, the 2-Espresso LED lights up. | ||

LED Test / Reset
LED Test Mode
To start the LED test mode, press and hold the '1 Coffee Button' and the '2 Coffee Button', then plug in the power cord. Release the buttons when the LEDs blink. The test mode is now active.

⚠️ (Alarm LEDs) + ? (Rotary Dial) | N/A | The Alarm LEDs light up according to the position of the rotary dial for coffee strength. |
Reset Procedure
To perform a machine reset, press and hold the 'On/Off Button' and the '1 Espresso Button', then plug in the power cord. Release the buttons when the coffee LEDs blink.

Usage Retrieval (Bezüge-Abruf)
To enter the statistics mode:
- Turn on the rear On/Off switch.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Press and hold the 'Steam Button' and the 'On/Off Button'.
- Plug the power cord back in.
- Wait until the LEDs blink, then release the buttons.

☕ (1 Small Coffee Button) | Press and hold the '1 Small Coffee Button'. The LEDs will start blinking sequentially from right to left. |
⚙️ (Rinse Button) | Press and hold the 'Rinse Button'. The LEDs will start blinking sequentially from right to left. |
? (Steam Button) | Press and hold the 'Steam Button'. The LEDs will start blinking sequentially from right to left. |
⚠️ x 1 | Count how many times the LED blinks. If it does not blink, it means zero. For example, 4 blinks = 4. |
⚠️ x 10 | Count how many times the LED blinks. If it does not blink, it means zero. For example, 2 blinks = 2. |
⚠️ x 100 | Count how many times the LED blinks. If it does not blink, it means zero. For example, 6 blinks = 6. |
? (ECO Button) x 1000 | Count how many times the LED blinks. If it does not blink, it means zero. For example, no blink = 4. |
Based on the example above, 4624 uses would be indicated.
