Pyle PHSP4 & PHSP5 Indoor/Outdoor PA Horn Speakers User Manual

Please follow these instructions to obtain optimum results from your Pyle Indoor/Outdoor PA Horn Speaker. Keep this manual handy for future reference.

How to Use

  1. Polarity: Careful attention to polarity is required when more than two speakers are in operation at the same place; otherwise, poor quality sound or low sound pressure will be reproduced. Connections should maintain the same polarity for parallel connection and different polarity for series connection, similar to battery connections.
  2. Long Wiring: For long wiring runs, low impedance connections can lead to large power loss and inefficient speaker operation. If wiring exceeds 50 meters, equip a matching transformer and use with proper high impedance.
  3. Low Impedance Connection: For low impedance connections, the total impedance of speakers should equal the output impedance of the amplifier.
  4. Distortion: Do not operate the unit for an extended period with distorting sound. This indicates a malfunction which can generate heat and result in a fire.

Mounting Bracket and Speaker Dimensions

The PHSP4 and PHSP5 speakers come with a mounting bracket. The bracket dimensions are approximately 29mm x 27mm with a 4mm diameter hole, and a total height of 34mm. The PHSP4 (6" speaker) has dimensions of 117mm (height) x 200mm (width) x 203mm (depth). The PHSP5 (8" speaker) has dimensions of 100mm (height) x 150mm (width) x 232mm (depth). The mounting base for both models is 100mm long and 57mm wide, with a height of 24mm.
