Burglary Resistance of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB Sectional Doors from the Superior 42.2 and Smart 42.2 System

This attest is issued based on BRL 2701: 11-05-2021, including amendment dated 01-01-2024, according to the SKG-IKOB Regulations for Approval, Certification, and Inspection.

SKG-IKOB confirms that the façade elements of the aforementioned system provide the performance described in this attest, provided that:

• The application conditions and technical specifications stated in this attest are met.
• The manufacturing and installation of the façade elements comply with the regulations and/or processing methods specified in this attest.

SKG-IKOB declares that, subject to the above, the façade elements fulfill the Dutch requirements of the Building and Housing Environment Decree as per the specification on page 2 of this quality certificate.

SKG-IKOB further declares that this attest does not include any inspection regarding the production of the façade elements or their installation in buildings.

Product Identification

Products manufactured according to this attest are marked with a white quality seal bearing the attest holder's logo, certificate number, and classification. This classification pertains to burglary resistance properties and is determined according to NEN 5096 (EN 1627) for Class 2 (RC2) as specified in this certificate.

When the quality seal is applied by the attest holder, it must be executed as follows:

Position of Identification: Visible on an opened element, but concealed in the rebate of a moving part.

Summary of Minimum Performance Characteristics (Table 1)

Performance Characteristics

Burglary Resistance: Bbl-Section 4.2.16. Façade elements possess burglary-resistant properties with a resistance class of at least 2, determined according to NEN 5096 (EN 1627).

As a supplement to the assessment criteria according to NEN 5096 (EN 1627), a maximum passage opening of 150 mm x 250 mm is assumed for classification.

This attest pertains solely to the specific performance characteristics related to burglary resistance, as one component of the performance characteristics mentioned in BRL 2701. Police Quality Seal Secure Living PKVW®

Façade elements bearing the SKG quality seal for burglary resistance Class 2 according to NEN 5096 (EN 1627) are suitable for use in buildings that must comply with the Police Quality Seal Secure Living (Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen PKVW®), provided that the additional requirements stipulated in the current 'Handboek PKVW Nieuwbouw' are met.

Technical Specifications

Superior 42.2 Sectional Door

• Dimensions: Hmax = 3000 mm, Bmax = 6000 mm. Hmin + Bmin = unlimited, provided the number of locking points remains consistent as per TS.
• Anchoring of the Element: Steel guide rail, fastened with wood screws Ø6.0x50 mm with appropriate dowels, behind the wall lining, approx. 50 mm from the floor, with a center distance of 500 mm.
• Panels: Multiple steel sandwich panels with article number K088850. Panel height 490/521.25/552.5 mm and total thickness approx. 42 mm. Panel construction Superior 42.2: outer steel sheet, 0.4 mm thick; filling Polyurethane foam (CFC-free); inner steel sheet, 0.33 mm thick.
• End Cap: With article number K088920. Fastening: with metal screws Ø6x15 mm at a center distance of approx. 38.5 mm.
• Side Hinge: With article number K088914. Fastening: with 2x2 metal screws Ø6x15 mm each.
• Middle Hinge: With article number K421HZ. Minimum 1 piece per section and a maximum center distance of 1400 mm. Fastening: 2x2 metal screws Ø6x15 mm.
• Sealing: EPDM outer seal all around the door and between the panels.
• Guide Rail: Beveled steel profile with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm. Fastening: see anchoring. Additional reinforcement in the guide rail at the rollers (when the door is closed) using steel diagonals measuring 42.6xLx1.5x150 mm and reinforcement next to the guide rail: steel diagonals 50x60x5x100 mm at the rollers (when the door is closed), excluding the top roller. Fastening of reinforcements: 2 wood screws Ø6.0x50 mm with appropriate dowels each. A bracket with article number 2604SR is mounted on the underside of the rail (L+R) on the floor. Mounting: Clamp to the rail and fasten to the floor with wood screws (DIN 571) Ø7x60 mm with dowels.
• Roller: Single-row plastic rollers with roller holder, article number K080421. Fastening of the roller holder to the side edges of the panels between the sections at the end cap: with 2 metal screws Ø6x15 mm.
• Top Roller: Single-row plastic roller with roller holder, article number K087962. Fastening of the roller holder to the side edges of the panels at the top section with 4 metal screws Ø6x15 mm.
• Lock Bracket: With article number K082392 (only for manual operation version). Function of the lock bracket: The top roller hooks behind it when locked, preventing the top section from being pushed outwards. Fastening: 2 hexagonal flange head screws Ø6.3x50 mm.
• Bottom Roller: Tandem plastic rollers no. K081991, mounted on the roller holder with article number K088902. Fastening of the roller holder to the bottom console (L+R) no. K088910 with: 2 metal screws Ø6x15 mm. Fastening of the bottom console to the end cap of the bottom section with 5x Ø6x15 mm.
• Top and Bottom Profile: Top profile: Steel U-profile. Fastening with rivets at a center distance of approx. 400 mm. Bottom profile (with rubber seal) with article number K088944. Fastening with: 3 - 7 steel brackets. 1x with bracket K088948 (with handle). 2-6 pieces. Bracket K089696 (without handle). Fastening of each bracket with: 2x Ø6x15 mm.
• Hand Operation: Flexi Force lock, manual operation, with article number N000364-00-00, lockable from the inside and outside. Consists of 1 operating point, mounted on the 2nd section on both sides (at the height of the top of the bottom section): Steel pin lock with base plate K087960. Fastening with: 10x metal screws Ø6.5x15 mm. The pins engage behind a locking bracket mounted on the extended lock bracket K087931 with: 3x M6 screw/nut connection. The lock bracket is mounted to the guide rail and the building structure with: 2x M6 screw/nut connection and 2x metal screws Ø6.5x50 mm (with dowels). Operation: with fixed cable transmission.
• Cylinder: Option 1: Lockable only from the inside: Standard half-profile cylinder. Option 2: Lockable from the outside: According to NEN 5096: An SKG*** certified profile cylinder (*). (* Core pull protection can be achieved in the cylinder itself (= SKG*** cylinder)). According to EN 1627: A profile cylinder according to EN 1303 (digit 7 – Class 4) (digit 8 - Class C).
• Motor Operation: Garage motor type SPARK 600xx or SPARK 1000xx, version with mechanical decoupling with pull cord without button. Drive: Fastening to the top frame, ceiling, and/or support beam. Operation: Remote control with radio transmitter.
