What is Resident Managed Access?

Resident Managed Access is a feature of the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA™ Multi-Family Management System. It enables residents to remotely unlock doors, view access logs for themselves and their guests, and issue mobile access credentials to visitors using a mobile device or computer. Access can be granted for specific periods, allowing convenient access for house sitters, pet sitters, or other guests while residents are away.

Setting Up Resident Managed Access

Upon activation by the facility manager, residents receive an email containing a link to set up their system password. After setting a secure password (requiring at least one number, one special character, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and a minimum of 12 characters), users can log in. An End User License Agreement must be read and accepted to proceed. Once completed, the Home screen is displayed, and Resident Managed Access is ready for use.

Inviting Guests

Inviting guests is a straightforward process:

• From the Home Screen, tap 'Manage Guest'.
• On the Guest screen, tap 'Invite Guest'.
• Enter the guest's last name, first name, and email address, along with the desired 'To' and 'From' dates for access.
• Select the specific access rights (doors) for the guest.
• Tap 'Send Invite'. An invitation email is sent to the guest, who will need to download the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA Multi-Family Management System access app and follow the instructions to complete the process.

Unlocking a Door

Remotely unlocking a door is convenient, especially if a guest or family member forgets their mobile device. To unlock a door:

• On the Home Screen, scroll to the desired door name in the 'Unlock a Door' section. Tap 'View More' if the door is not listed.
• Tap the door name. If the door icon indicates a confirmation is needed, tap 'Confirm' to unlock. If a One-Time PIN is displayed, provide this code to the person needing access to enter at the lock.

Viewing Access Activity

Residents can track guest activity through the Access Activity feature:

• Access the menu from the Home Screen (upper left corner) and select 'Access Activity'.
• Tap on an individual's name to view their specific access details.
• Alternatively, from the 'Manage Guest' screen, select a guest and tap the 'Access Activity' icon to view their access history.

For assistance, users can access help resources directly within the app. Tap the Menu icon on the Home screen, then select 'Help' for common questions or 'Support' to find contact information for facility support personnel.
