Description of Portable Radio
The portable radio has the following controls and features:
- 1. Favorite Stations (1 or 2): Save or directly access presets 1 or 2.
- 2. [Snooze Button]: Snooze alarm. Set sleep timer.
- 3. [Menu/Back Button]: Open menu settings. Display information. Return to the previous menu. Exit menu settings.
- 4. [Volume/Select Knob]: Adjust volume or select menu options. Open selected menu items. Save selected preset stations. Auto scan and save radio stations. Play/Pause.
- 5. [Source Button]: Switch to DAB/FM/Bluetooth source. Pair via Bluetooth®.
- 6. [Power Button]: Turn on/off or switch to standby mode. Stop alarm.
- 7. [Program Button]: Activate preset programming mode. Select a preset radio station.
- 8. [Tune Forward Button]: Set time. Tune radio stations. Browse menu list. Previous track.
- 9. [Tune Backward Button]: Set time. Tune radio stations. Browse menu list. Next track.

Getting Started
Follow the instructions in this chapter in order.
Charging the Built-in Battery
The portable radio is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery.
When the battery is low, the battery icon will be displayed. Charge the built-in battery as soon as possible.
Connect the USB Type-C port on the portable radio to a power outlet using the supplied USB-C cable (5V = 2A).
The battery icon will be displayed while charging. The radio is fully charged when the battery icon is displayed as full.
The device contains built-in lithium batteries. Due to self-discharge, the charging capacity of lithium batteries will decrease over time. To ensure a long battery life, we recommend charging the built-in battery to approximately 50% every 6 months if the device is not in use.
Powering On/Off or Switching to Standby Mode
Press the [Power Button] to turn on the device. The radio will switch to the last selected source.
Press the [Power Button] to switch the device to standby mode. The time will be displayed (if set).
If no Bluetooth device is connected for 15 minutes, or if a connected device is not playing audio, the radio will automatically switch to standby mode.
Press and hold the [Power Button] for three seconds to turn off the device directly in any mode. The display will turn off.
Adjusting Volume
Adjust the volume by turning the knob while listening.
Adjusting Display Brightness
You can select different brightness levels or turn off the display.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Display], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Backlight level], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the display brightness level (High, Medium, or Low), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
Menu Navigation in Standby Mode
When the device is in standby mode, you can open the menu to access control options.
- In standby mode, press the [Menu/Back Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select a menu option, then press the [Select Button] to confirm or open a lower-level menu.
- [Display]: For setting backlight, dimming, or timeout.
- [Alarm]: For turning on/off or setting alarm 1 or 2.
- [Clock]: For setting time synchronization, date/time, time format, and date format.
- [System]: For system settings.
- If a submenu is available under an option, repeat step 2.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the menu will exit.

Clock Settings
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the menu will exit.
Auto Clock Setting
When tuned to an RDS DAB/FM station, the device can automatically synchronize the time broadcast by the RDS DAB/FM station (with CT information).
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Set auto/manual], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Auto(DAB/RDS)], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
Manual Clock Setting
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Set date&time], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the hours, then press the [Select Button] to confirm. Minutes will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the minutes, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the month, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the day, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the year, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- The time is now set.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
Time Format Setting
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Set 12H/24H], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [12H] or [24H], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
Date Format Setting
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Set date format], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the date format [MM-DD-YYYY], [DD-MM-YYYY], or [YYYY-MM-DD], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
Clock Style
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Clock style], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Classic analog] or [Normal digital], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
Alarm Settings
Setting Alarm Time
Ensure that the clock is set correctly.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Alarm], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Alarm 1 Setup] or [Alarm 2 Setup], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Wake up time], then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The hours will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the hours, then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The minutes will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the minutes, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- If [Once] is selected for alarm repetition, use the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] and [Select Button] to set the alarm date.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Frequency], then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The alarm repetition cycle will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the alarm repetition cycle (Once, Daily, Weekdays, or Weekend), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Source], then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The alarm source will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the alarm source (BUZZER, DAB station, or FM station), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- If [DAB] or [FM] is selected as the alarm source (default is BUZZER), the alarm menu will have an additional [Source] option. Use the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] and [Select Button] to select the preset DAB or FM radio station number.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
The corresponding alarm icon [/] will be displayed.
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the device will exit the alarm setting mode.
If DAB/FM is selected as the alarm source but no preset station is selected, the BUZZER option will be activated automatically.
If no user action is taken, the alarm timeout is 60 minutes.
Activating/Deactivating the Alarm Timer
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Alarm], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Alarm 1] or [Alarm 2], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [On] or [Off], then press the [Select Button] to confirm activation or deactivation of the alarm timer.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
If the alarm timer is activated, the alarm icon [/] will be displayed. If the alarm timer is deactivated, the icon [/] will disappear.
Snooze Alarm
- When the alarm rings, press the [Snooze Button]. The alarm will be snoozed and will ring again in 10 minutes (default is 10 minutes).
- During the snooze period, use the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select a different snooze duration (in minutes) for the next alarm. Options: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 minutes.
- During the snooze period, press and hold the [Snooze Button] or [Alarm Button] for three seconds to cancel the repeated alarm. The alarm will stop.
Stop Alarm Sound
When the alarm sounds, press the [Alarm Button] to pause it (enter snooze mode) or press the [Snooze Button] to stop the sound. The alarm will stop, but the alarm settings will be retained.
Sleep Timer
This portable radio can automatically switch to standby mode after a set sleep period.
- Turn on the device.
- Press the [Snooze Button] to select the sleep time.
- Continuously press the [Snooze Button] to cycle through sleep time options: Off, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes.
To deactivate the sleep timer: Repeat the above steps and set the sleep timer to Off.
Listening to DAB Radio
Keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices to prevent radio interference.
Extend the DAB/FM antenna fully and position it for optimal reception.
Tuning DAB Stations
When you select DAB radio mode for the first time, or if the station list is empty, the radio will automatically perform a full scan.
- Turn on the device.
- Press the [Source Button] to select DAB mode. The display will show [Scanning...]. The radio will automatically scan for all DAB stations and then play the first available station. The station list will be displayed. The next time you turn on the radio, the scan will not be performed.
- All stations have been found. Press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to browse through the found stations, then press the [Select Button] to confirm your selection.
- To perform a scan again, press and hold the [SCAN Button] for three seconds for a quick scan.
Alternatively:
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the DAB menu, then press the [Select Button] to open [Full scan]. Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Yes] (to perform a full scan) or [No], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
Manual Tuning
In addition to automatic tuning, you can manually tune the receiver. This can help when adjusting the antenna or adding stations missed during automatic tuning.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the DAB menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Manual tune], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to cycle through DAB channels numbered from 5A to 13F, then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The frequency will be displayed, and scanning will begin.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
Saving DAB Stations
You can manually save up to 20 DAB radio stations.
- Tune to a DAB radio station in DAB mode.
- Press and hold the [Program Button] for three seconds to activate programming mode. The preset list will appear on the screen.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the preset number.
- Press the [Select Button] to save the preset station. The display will show "Preset xx Stored".
- Repeat steps 1 to 5 to save additional DAB stations.
To remove a preset station, replace it with another station.
Saving and Selecting Favorite Stations
Favorite stations can be saved to direct buttons 1 or 2.
- Tune to a DAB radio station in DAB mode.
- Press and hold button 1 or 2 for three seconds to save the current station directly to the corresponding position. The display will show "Preset 1 or 2 stored". The station number and frequency will be displayed.
- In DAB mode, press button 1 or 2 to directly access the preset radio station (1 or 2).
Selecting Preset Radio Stations
- In DAB mode, press the [Favorite Button].
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the preset radio station.
The preset radio station will be confirmed automatically after three seconds.
Removing Invalid Stations
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the DAB menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Prune], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Yes] (to remove all invalid stations from the list) or [No], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
DRC compresses the dynamic range of the radio signal, increasing the volume of quiet sounds and decreasing the volume of loud sounds.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the DAB menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [DRC level], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [High], [Low], or [Off], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
Displaying DAB Information
When listening to DAB radio, press and hold the [Menu/Back Button] for three seconds to display the following information (if available):
- DAB or DAB+ broadcast
- Station name
- Scrolling text
- Program type
- Multiplex name
- Channel
- Frequency
- Mode: bitrate
- Mode: channel type
- Signal quality
Menu Navigation in DAB Mode
When listening to DAB broadcasts, you can open the menu to access control options.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the DAB menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select a menu option, then press the [Select Button] to confirm or open a lower-level menu.
- [Full scan]: Scans and saves all available DAB radio stations.
- [Manual tune]: Tunes to a specific channel/frequency manually and adds it to the station list.
- [Prune]: Removes invalid stations from the station list.
- [DRC level]: Compresses the dynamic range of the radio signal.
- [Kitchen timer]: Sets a kitchen timer.
- [Sleep timer]: Sets a sleep timer.
- [Display]: Sets backlight, dimming, or timeout.
- [Alarm]: Turns on/off and sets alarms.
- [Clock]: Sets time synchronization, date/time, time format, and date format.
- [System]: System settings.
- If a submenu is available under an option, repeat step 2.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the menu will exit.
Listening to FM Radio
Keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices to prevent radio interference.
Extend the DAB/FM antenna fully and position it for optimal reception.
Auto Tuning
- Press the [Power Button] to turn on the device.
- Press the [Source Button] to select FM mode.
- Press and hold the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] for three seconds. The portable radio will automatically tune to the station with the strongest signal.
Manual Tuning
To tune to a station manually, press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the frequency.
The portable radio tunes in 50 kHz steps. Pressing the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] increases the radio frequency on the display by 0.05 MHz.
Auto Scan and Save FM Stations
You can save up to 20 FM radio stations.
In FM tuner mode, press and hold the [SCAN Button] for three seconds. The display will show [Auto Scanning...]. The radio will automatically scan and save all FM radio stations, then play the first available station.
Manual Save FM Stations
- Tune to an FM radio station in FM tuner mode.
- Press and hold the [Program Button] for three seconds to activate programming mode. The preset list will appear on the screen.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the preset number.
- Press the [Select Button] to save the preset station.
- Repeat steps 1 to 4 to save additional FM stations.
If the number of presets exceeds 20 and you want to remove a preset station, replace it with another station.
Saving and Selecting Favorite Stations
Favorite stations can be saved to direct buttons 1 and 2.
- Tune to an FM radio station in FM tuner mode.
- Press and hold button 1 or 2 (preset number) for three seconds to save the current station directly to the corresponding position. The display will show "Preset 1 or 2 stored". The preset number and station frequency will be displayed.
- In FM tuner mode, press button 1 or 2 to directly access the preset radio station (1 or 2).
Selecting Preset Radio Stations
- In FM tuner mode, press the [Favorite Button].
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select the preset radio station.
The preset radio station will be confirmed automatically after three seconds.
Scan Sensitivity Setting
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the FM menu.
- Press the [Select Button] to open [Scan setting].
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Strong] (for stations with strong signals only) or [All] (for all stations), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
Displaying RDS Information
RDS (Radio Data System) is a service that allows additional information about FM stations to be displayed.
- Tune to an RDS FM station.
- Press and hold the [Menu/Back Button] for three seconds to display the following information (if available):
- Station name
- Program type, such as [NEWS], [SPORT], [POP M] (popular music)...
- Time
- Text
- Frequency
Menu Navigation in FM Mode
When listening to FM broadcasts, you can open the menu to access control options.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the FM menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select a menu option, then press the [Select Button] to confirm or open a lower-level menu.
- [Scan setting]: Selects scan sensitivity (strong signals only or all stations).
- [Kitchen timer]: Sets a kitchen timer.
- [Sleep timer]: Sets a sleep timer.
- [Display]: Sets backlight, dimming, or timeout.
- [Alarm]: Turns on/off and sets alarms.
- [Clock]: Sets time synchronization, date/time, time format, and date format.
- [System]: System settings.
- If a submenu is available under an option, repeat step 2.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the menu will exit.
Listening to Bluetooth® Music
The operating range between the radio and the device is approximately 25 meters (in open space).
Compatibility with all Bluetooth® devices is not guaranteed.
Any obstacle between this unit and the device may reduce the operating range.
Keep away from any other electronic device that may cause interference.
When the device moves out of the operating range, it will disconnect from the radio.
Connecting Bluetooth®
- Press the [Source Button] to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show [Not Connected].
- On your Bluetooth device, turn on Bluetooth and establish a connection by searching for and selecting [Philips TAV2000DB].
Upon successful pairing:
- You will hear an audible alert.
- The display will show [Connected].
Disconnecting Bluetooth®
- Switch to another source on your device.
- You can disable the Bluetooth function on your device.
Alternatively:
Press and hold the [Source Button] for three seconds to disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Upon successful disconnection:
- You will hear an audible alert.
- The display will show [Pairing].
Alternatively:
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the Bluetooth menu.
- Press the [Select Button] to select [Bluetooth pair].
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Yes] (to disconnect Bluetooth® and enter pairing mode), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
Clearing Bluetooth® Pairing Records
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the Bluetooth menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Bluetooth clean], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Yes] (to disconnect the current connection) or [No] (to keep the connection), then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
The display will show [Pairing].
Music Playback
You can use this device to control music playback when playing music from a Bluetooth® device.
- Press the [Select Button] to pause/resume playback.
- Press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to skip tracks.
- Turn the knob to adjust the volume.
Menu Navigation in Bluetooth Mode
When listening via Bluetooth connection, you can open the menu to access control options.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the Bluetooth menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select a menu option, then press the [Select Button] to confirm or open a lower-level menu.
- [Bluetooth pair]: Disconnects Bluetooth and enters pairing mode.
- [Bluetooth clean]: Clears Bluetooth pairing records.
- [Kitchen timer]: Sets a kitchen timer.
- [Sleep timer]: Sets a sleep timer.
- [Display]: Sets backlight, dimming, or timeout.
- [Alarm]: Turns on/off and sets alarms.
- [Clock]: Sets time synchronization, date/time, time format, and date format.
- [System]: System settings.
- If a submenu is available under an option, repeat step 2.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the menu will exit.
Kitchen Timer
Setting the Kitchen Timer
- Press the [Power Button] to turn on the device.
- Press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Kitchen timer], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Kitchen timer setup], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
Alternatively:
Long press the [Snooze Button] to open the kitchen timer menu. The hours will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the hours, then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The minutes will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the minutes, then press the [Select Button] to confirm. The seconds will blink.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to set the seconds, then press the [Select Button] to confirm.

- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to return to the previous menu.
The kitchen timer icon [/] and the kitchen timer will be displayed.
If no user action is taken, the kitchen timer timeout is 60 minutes.
Stopping Kitchen Timer Sound
When the kitchen timer sounds, press any button to stop the buzzer.
Cancelling the Kitchen Timer
- To cancel the kitchen timer, press the [Menu Button] to open the menu.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Kitchen timer], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [On/Off], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Turn the knob or press the [Seek Forward Button]/[Seek Backward Button] to select [Off], then press the [Select Button] to confirm.
- Press the [Menu/Back Button] to exit the menu.
The kitchen timer can only be cancelled when the device is turned on.

No Sound

Unit Unresponsive
- Restart the portable radio.
Poor Radio Reception
- Keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices to prevent radio interference.
- Extend the antenna fully and position it.
Non-functioning Alarm
- Set the clock/alarm correctly.
Clock/Alarm Settings Lost

Cannot find [Philips TAV2000DB] for pairing on Bluetooth device
- Press and hold the [Source Button] for three seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode, then try again.
Cannot connect to Bluetooth device
- The Bluetooth function of the device is not enabled. Refer to the device's user manual for instructions on enabling the function.
- This portable radio is not in pairing mode.
- This portable radio is already connected to another device with Bluetooth enabled.
- Disconnect the device and try again.
Battery Not Charging or Draining Too Quickly
- Replace batteries.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device and remove the original battery.
- Insert a battery of the same type (not supplied).
- Secure the battery compartment cover.
