Assembly Steps

The following steps outline the assembly process for the VITTSJÖ shelving unit. Ensure all parts are present before beginning.

Step 1:

Attach the side frames to the bottom shelf using the provided screws and dowels. (See diagram showing parts 122158 and 143131).

Step 2:

Insert the vertical support poles into the designated slots on the bottom shelf assembly. (See diagram showing the insertion of poles).

Step 3:

Secure the vertical support poles to the bottom shelf using screws and washers. (See diagram showing parts 116654 and 114676).

Step 4:

Attach the next shelf level to the vertical support poles using the provided hardware. (See diagram showing attachment of shelf level).

Step 5:

Continue attaching the remaining shelf levels in the same manner as Step 4. (See diagram showing attachment of shelf levels).

Step 6:

Insert the remaining vertical support poles into the top shelf assembly. (See diagram showing insertion of poles).

Step 7:

Attach the top shelf to the vertical support poles using the provided hardware. (See diagram showing attachment of top shelf).

Step 8:

Secure the entire structure by tightening all screws. (See diagram showing tightening of screws).

Step 9:

Attach the glass panels to the shelves using the provided clips or fasteners. (See diagram showing glass panel installation).

Step 10:

Ensure all glass panels are securely in place.

Step 11:

Attach the wall anchoring brackets to the top of the unit and to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included). (See diagram showing wall anchoring).

Step 12:

The unit is now assembled. Ensure it is stable and properly anchored to the wall.

Step 13:

Final check of all connections and stability.

Step 14:

Place the glass shelves onto the support pegs within the unit.

Important Note on Wall Anchoring

The included wall attachment devices are crucial for preventing tip-over accidents. Always use these devices and ensure they are securely fastened to a suitable wall. If you are unsure about the correct type of screws or wall plugs for your specific wall type, please consult a professional.
