Rexing DT2 Dash Cam Manual

Resolution

This is where you select your video resolution and frame rate setting. The higher the resolution, the better the video quality.

Loop Recording

Turning this feature on allows your camera to continuously record. This feature prevents your SD card from getting full by overwriting the oldest unlocked video file.

High Dynamic Range (HDR)

This feature regulates and captures the details in the lightest and darkest elements of a photo or video being recorded. For example, when photographing landscapes at sunrise or sunset, the sky may be significantly brighter than the foreground. By using the HDR mode, the camera evens out the brightness to acquire a much clearer image.

Exposure

This option adjusts the screen and video brightness.

MIC

This is the option to turn the camera MIC on/off.

Date/Time Stamp

Turning this option on will indicate the date/time on the video file.

G-sensor / Gravity Sensitivity

This is where you would set the shock sensitivity during a crash/collision:

  • Select "High" and the camera will detect/lock video files from the slightest impact/vibration.
  • Select "Low" and the camera will detect impact from a much greater impact/vibration.
  • Select "Medium" to allow the camera to detect/lock videos from a more balanced impact/vibration.

Parking Monitor

This is where you set your camera to either record 24/7 (Timelapse) or record when there is an impact (G-sensor). It is normal to receive the message "To use parking monitor. Please connect smart hardwire kit" as this is a precautionary measure to make sure customers are using the right kit.

Select "G-Sensor" to allow the camera to only wake up to record when collision is detected while parked.

Select "Time lapse" to allow the camera to record 24/7 while your vehicle is parked. Voltage protection will cut power off if the battery power drops below 11.8V to prevent your car's battery from dying.

Plate Number

This option allows you to key in your license plate number, which will then be indicated in the recorded video file.

Second Option Screen

Press the "M" button twice to access this screen.

Screen Saver

You can change your screen saver time from 1, 2, or 3 seconds to allow the camera's screen to dim while driving.

This is needed for customers who find it hard driving at night with the camera's screen lit up and also saves power.

Auto Power Off

This option turns the camera off when your car engine goes off. In supercapacitor models, this feature isn't needed as the cameras will go on/off with the ignition.

Frequency

This option prevents flickering in videos caused by incandescent lights. LED lights will show flicker but will not update the video.

System Settings

Frequency Standard

In the United States, the standard is 60Hz, and some areas around the world also have a standard of 60Hz.

Beep Sound

Turn on/off the sound when pressing the keys on the camera.

Language

Select what language to display on the camera screen.

Date/Time

Change the date and time manually.

Format

Select this option to format/delete all files on the micro SD card.

Default Settings

Set the camera back to factory settings.

Version

This is where the firmware number is located. You need this number to update the firmware.

FYI: Only update the firmware when you start experiencing issues or when advised by support.
