KALLAX Shelving Unit Assembly Instructions

[!] WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided.
Note: Screws and plugs for the wall are not included. Use screws and plugs suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instruction carefully.

- 1x Allen Key (Part No. 100092)
- 2x Wall Bracket Set (Part No. 115753, 118225, 118673)
- 2x Decorative Hexagonal Caps (Part No. 10002300)
- 8x Frame Assembly Screws (Part No. 104321, 104322)
- 32x Dowels (Part No. 101339)
- 4x Bracket Screws (Part No. 100372)
Assembly Steps
Step 1: Assemble Frame Base
Connect the side panels to the top and bottom panels. Insert dowels (32x Part No. 101339) into the designated holes and secure the panels together using screws (8x Part No. 104321/104322). Use the Allen key (Part No. 100092) for tightening.
Step 2: Insert Vertical Dividers
Insert the vertical divider panels into the pre-drilled holes on the frame base.
Step 3: Insert Horizontal Dividers
Insert the horizontal divider panels into the pre-drilled holes.
Step 4-9: Continue Adding Dividers
Continue inserting the remaining vertical and horizontal dividers, using dowels (Part No. 101339) to connect them securely.
Step 10: Attach Back Panels
Carefully slide the back panels into the grooves provided on the rear of the assembled frame.
Step 11: Complete Frame
Ensure all internal panels are correctly positioned and secured.
Step 12: Add Decorative Caps
Cover exposed screw heads with the decorative hexagonal caps (2x Part No. 10002300).
Step 13-16: Wall Mounting for Safety
To prevent tip-over accidents, it is crucial to secure the shelving unit to the wall.
Attach the wall bracket components (2x Part No. 115753, 118225, 118673) to the top of the shelving unit using the small screws (4x Part No. 100372).
Position the shelving unit against the wall. Mark the wall through the holes in the wall bracket.
Secure the wall bracket to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included). Ensure the screws and plugs are suitable for your wall type (e.g., drywall, concrete, wood). If unsure, consult a professional.
Confirm the unit is stable and securely fastened to the wall.
