Views
Select to change between the four views: Plan map, Perspective map, Status, and Offline. The Plan map shows the field layout, the Perspective map provides a 3D view, the Status screen displays key metrics like coverage and speed, and the Offline view shows guidance relative to the vehicle's position.
Zooming
To enter zoom mode, select ▓ (Zoom), or press (2) on the remote control. To change the zoom scale, press (A) or (9). To accept the zoom scale and return to the map view, press (1) or (2) on the remote control.
GUIDANCE
AB Line
Map a straight AB Line for guidance. You can reset the B point until you drive 1/2 swath offline from the AB Line.
A+
The heading of the AB line equals the previous AB heading or the manually entered heading.
Headland
Straight swaths automatically fill the headland boundary. The AB Line does not need to be the full length of the field. Before reaching the circle around the start point, press to indicate the current headland circuit is the final circuit. You can do either a single headland or a multiple headland.
Center-pivot
To work from the center of the field outwards, the initial pivot must have a radius of at least two swath widths and an arc length of at least two swath widths.
Adaptive Curve
With Auto-detect turn enabled, the end of the swath is automatically detected when you do a U-turn. If Auto-detect turn is Off, you must press B at the end of every pass.
Spiral
Set Auto-detect turn to Off. You must press B at the end of every pass before you start the turn to mark the end of the swath.
C-clamp
Bold lines indicate where you must drive swaths without guidance, and thin lines indicate where you get guidance.
Rowfinder
Set Auto-detect turn to Off. You must press B at the end of every pass to start counting rows.
Identical curve
This pattern does not incorporate any deviation around an obstacle.

IMPLEMENT OFFSET
If the vehicle has an implement that is offset to one side of the vehicle, configure an implement offset:
- Reset guidance and then select a new guidance pattern. The Swath / Implement screen appears.
- Select the Impl. Offset field.
- Press ▲ or ▼ until the correct value is displayed.
- Press ●.
Swath/Implement
Swath Width 60' 0"
Impl. Offset
Exit
Tip - If an implement offset is configured, the vehicle will correctly be displayed off the guidance line. For guidance with an implement offset, follow the three green LEDs.
COVERAGE AREA
By default, Coverage Area is configured for display on the Status screen. To configure it for display on the plan or perspective map view, select Lightbar / Status Text. Area is calculated whenever the spray switch is on. For more information on connecting a switch, refer to the Getting Started Guide and the instructions provided with the external interface cable. To save the coverage area value during a power cycle, you must press Pause before turning off power.
PATH DISPLAY
By default, the path you have driven is displayed on screen as a dotted line. If you have a spray switch connected, you can display the path only when the spray switch is on. To do this, select Display Config / Path Display and choose Switch. To turn off the display of the driven path, select Display Config / Path Display and choose Off.
NUDGE
Select | or |- to nudge the guidance line back toward the correct path. Use nudge to:
- Correct for GPS position drift when returning to the field for guidance, for example after pausing
- Correct for GPS satellite constellation changes while driving in the field
Nudge is always applied to the guidance line relative to the vehicle heading. To configure the nudge increment, select Guidance / Nudge Increment. To display the total accumulated nudge perpendicular to the current vehicle heading, use Lightbar / Status Text to configure Nudge to appear on a map view or status screen. To reset the nudge distance to 0, go to the configuration menus and select Guidance / Reset Nudge.
TERRAIN COMPENSATION
The EZ-Guide Plus firmware version 3.00 and later contains a new feature called terrain compensation. The feature can be used by an EZ-Steer controller that includes the T2™ terrain compensation technology. Install the EZ-Steer controller on the floor with the connectors pointing forward, on the floor with the connectors pointing backward, or on the rear wall with the connectors pointing towards the floor.
To configure terrain compensation:
- Select Terrain Compensation / Orientation and then select the direction that the connectors point.
- Select Terrain Compensation / Antenna Height and then enter the antenna height.
- Select Terrain Compensation / Calibration and then perform terrain compensation calibration.
GPS CONFIGURATION
Receiver selection
To select the receiver type:
- Go to Lightbar / Data Port Settings.
- Press ▲ or ▼ to choose the receiver type from the Input field:
Input | Select this input for ... |
None | Lightbar's internal GPS receiver |
TSIP Receiver | a Trimble GPS receiver |
External GPS | a third-party GPS receiver |
Autopilot | When an AgGPS Autopilot system is connected |
Corrections | For RTCM input from a radio |
Diagnostics | For diagnostics with AgRemote |
Receiver configuration
To configure the correction source for the receiver, select GPS / Corrections. Note - Only correction types supported by your receiver are available for selection. You cannot configure corrections for third-party GPS receivers. To edit the WAAS or EGNOS satellites, change Auto Select to Edit. The lightbar integrated receiver and the AgGPS 252 receiver use the OnPath™ advanced filter technology. Other Trimble receivers use the PV Filter. To configure the GPS filtering, select GPS / Filter. To configure the GPS Limits, select GPS / GPS Limits.
CAUTION - Changing any of the GPS Limits default settings can cause GPS position errors greater than one foot.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The remote control is an optional accessory that you can purchase separately. For information, contact your local EZ-Guide Plus system reseller.
CAUTION - Do not spray the lightbar with any type of liquid as this may cause it to fail.
