Operating Instructions
1. Proper Use
The micro-system is designed exclusively for playing music CDs, MP3-CDs, MP3 files from MS, SD, and MMC cards, and for listening to radio programs. It is not intended for commercial or industrial environments. Improper use may void the warranty.

4. Safety Instructions
General Safety:
- Do not allow children to operate electrical appliances unsupervised.
- Disconnect the power cord after each use and before cleaning to prevent unintentional switching on.
- Check the appliance and all parts for visible damage. Ensure the appliance is in immaculate condition for safe operation.
Explosion Hazard:
- Do not throw batteries into fire. Do not attempt to recharge batteries.
Danger of Electric Shock:
- Connect only to a 230 V~/50 Hz wall socket.
- Do not use with a damaged connecting cable or power plug.
- Have damaged cables or appliances repaired or replaced by authorized service personnel.
- Never immerse the appliance in water; clean only with a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not expose to rain or use in humid/wet environments.
- Ensure the power cord does not get wet during operation.
- Do not open or repair the casing yourself; this voids the warranty and compromises safety.
Fire Hazard:
- Do not use near hot surfaces or direct sunlight, which can cause overheating.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Never cover ventilation slots.
Danger of Injuries:
- Keep children away from the connecting cable and appliance.
- Place the appliance in a safe location.
- Do not operate if the appliance has been dropped or is damaged; have it checked by experts.
- Keep batteries away from children; swallowing can be dangerous.
Danger of Injury to the Eyes:
- Never look directly into the open CD compartment due to invisible laser beams.
5. Wall Mounting
The micro-system and loudspeakers can be mounted on a solid wall. Drill pilot holes for the micro-system with a horizontal spacing of 19 cm. For the loudspeakers, drill holes vertically spaced 13.5 cm apart. Ensure screw heads protrude approximately 3 mm from the wall for proper grip. Hang the micro-system onto two screws.
6. Setting Up
- Remove all packaging and transport securing materials.
- Position the micro-system so the CD compartment flap can open fully.
- Place loudspeakers on loudspeaker legs.
- Position the subwoofer and loudspeakers on an even horizontal surface.
- Place one loudspeaker to the right and one to the left of the micro-system.
7. Operating Elements
Main Unit:
- q CD compartment: Slot for CDs.
- w Sensor for remote control: Receives signals from the remote.
- e Display: Shows operational information.
- r / 2) Sound selection button (X-BASS/EQ): Selects sound profiles (Pop, Jazz, etc.).
- t / 2# Repeat button (REPEAT): Repeats tracks or the entire CD.
- y / 3@ Programming button (MEM/PROG/MEM): For programming playback order and storing radio stations.
- u / 3$ Timer button (TIMER): Sets the alarm function.
- i / 2! Band selection button (TUNER/BAND): Selects radio bands (FM/MW) or sound sources.
- o / 2@ Media selection button (FUNCTION): Selects the audio source (CD, AUX, CARD-USB, Tuner).
- a Open/close CD compartment (OPEN/CLOSE): Opens or closes the CD tray.
- s Volume control (VOLUME): Adjusts the overall volume.

- 2( Find button (FIND): Used for searching tracks/albums or displaying file info.
- 3) Program selection button - (ALBUM PRESET –): Selects previous preset station or album.
- 3! Reverse button
- 3# Random generator (RAND): Plays tracks in random order.
- 3% Sleep function (SLEEP): Sets automatic switch-off time.
- 3^ Reducing the volume: Decreases volume.
- 3& Switching loudspeakers to mute (MUTE): Mutes audio output.
- 4) USB connection: Port for USB devices.
- 4! Control cable to subwoofer: Cable connection for subwoofer.
- 4% Headphone connection: 3.5mm jack for headphones.
- 4* Power cord: Cable for connecting to mains power.
- 5) Left-hand connection audio appliance (AUX IN L): Input for left audio channel of external devices.
- 5! Right-hand connection audio appliance (AUX IN R): Input for right audio channel of external devices.
- 5@ Right-hand loudspeaker connection (Speaker OUT R): Connects the right speaker.
8. Inserting Batteries into the Remote Control
Use two AAA/1.5 V batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote, insert batteries observing polarity, and close the compartment lid.
9. Handling Batteries
Leaky batteries can damage the remote. Remove batteries if not in use for extended periods. Always replace both batteries with the same type. Wear gloves and clean battery compartment with a dry cloth if batteries leak.
10. Connecting
Loudspeakers: Connect the cinch plugs of the right and left loudspeakers to the respective connections (5@ for right, 4( for left).
Additional Audio Appliance: Connect external audio devices (e.g., mini-disc player, TV) using cinch plugs to the AUX IN L (5) and AUX IN R (5!) connections.
Subwoofer: Connect the subwoofer using its control cable (4!) to the micro-system's control cable connection (4^).
Antenna: Connect the medium wave antenna to the designated port (3(). For FM reception, extend the dipole antenna. Adjust position for best reception.
Micro-system Power: Connect the power cord (4*) to a 230 V~/50 Hz wall socket.
11. Fold Out Display
Press the top of the display (e) to fold it out for easier viewing. Press it down again to fold it back into the housing.
12. Switching On and Off
To Switch On: Set the power switch (4&) on the subwoofer to 'ON' (I). The micro-system enters standby mode (red standby light j).
To Switch Off: Set the power switch (4&) on the subwoofer to 'OFF' (0).
Play Mode: From standby, press the ON/OFF button (k) on the micro-system.
13. Selecting Appliance/Sound Source
Press the FUNCTION button (o or 2@) repeatedly to cycle through sound sources: CD, AUX, CARD-USB, Tuner (radio).
14. Adjusting the Volume
Remote Control: Use the INCREASE VOLUME (l) and REDUCE VOLUME (3^) buttons.
Micro-system: Turn the VOLUME control (s) clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease.
Subwoofer: Turn the subwoofer volume control (4$) towards MAX to increase and towards MIN to decrease.
Mute: Press the SWITCH LOUDSPEAKER TO MUTE button (3&) to mute. Press again to resume listening.
15. Adjusting the Sound
Select sound profiles like Pop, Jazz, Pass, Classic, or Rock using the SOUND SELECTION button (r or 2)). The selected sound is applied immediately.
16. Using Headphones
Connect a 3.5mm jack plug to the headphone socket (4%) on the front. This disconnects the loudspeakers, and audio will play only through the headphones.
17. Setting the Clock
Adjust the clock only in standby mode. Press and hold the PROGRAMMING BUTTON (y or 3@) for three seconds. Use buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!) to set hours and minutes. Press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON again to store the settings. The hours will flash, then the minutes will flash.
18. Setting the Alarm Function (Timer)
Program the micro-system to wake you up. You can set the wake-up time, sound source (radio or CD), and volume.
Setting Switch-on Time: Press the TIMER button (u or 3$). Set hours and minutes using buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!). Press TIMER again to store.
Setting Switch-off Time: Press the TIMER button (u or 3$) again. Set hours and minutes. Press TIMER again to store.
Setting Sound Source: Press TIMER, then select the desired source (CD, Radio) using buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!).
Adjusting Volume: Press TIMER, then adjust volume using buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!).
Storing Settings: Press TIMER again. A clock symbol on the display indicates the alarm is active.
To activate/deactivate the alarm, briefly press the TIMER button (u or 3$).
19. Activating the Sleep Function (Sleep)
Set a time (10-90 minutes) after which the micro-system will automatically switch off. Press the SLEEP FUNCTION button (3%) repeatedly until the desired time is shown on the display. Each press reduces the time by ten minutes.
20. Radio Operation / Selecting a Band (USW/MW)
Receive USW (FM) and MW (AM) stations. Use the BAND SELECTION BUTTON (i or 2!) to switch between bands. If FM reception is poor, use the STEREO/MONO CHANGEOVER button (2*) to switch to MONO.
21. Operating the Radio
Automatic Search: Press and hold the search buttons (g or h) to scan for stations. The system stops at a frequency with sufficient reception. Press again to restart the search or press briefly to stop.
Manual Search: For fine-tuning, briefly press the tuning buttons (g or h) to increase or decrease the reception frequency.
Storing Stations: Set a desired station. Press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON (y or 3@) to store it. The program location flashes. Select a program location using the PROGRAM SELECTION buttons (2& or 3)) and confirm by pressing the PROGRAMMING BUTTON again.
Selecting Stored Stations: Use the PROGRAM SELECTION buttons (2& or 3)) to cycle through stored stations.
22. CD Functions
Inserting a CD: Press OPEN/CLOSE (a) to open the CD compartment. Insert the CD with the printed side up. Press down gently until it clicks. Close the compartment by pressing OPEN/CLOSE (a) again. Select CD using the FUNCTION button (o or 2@).
Removing a CD: Press OPEN/CLOSE (a) to open the compartment and remove the CD.
Playback: Press Play/Pause (d). Press Stop (f) to stop. Press Play/Pause (d) again to continue playback.
Skip/Seek: Use Forward (g) for next track, Reverse (h) for previous track. Press and hold for fast forward/rewind.
Repeat: Press REPEAT (t or 2#) to repeat a single track or all tracks. Press again to stop repeat.
Random Play: Press the RANDOM GENERATOR button (3#) to play tracks in random order.
Programming Titles: Stop playback. Press PROGRAMMING BUTTON (y or 3@). Select titles using (g, h, 2%, 3!) and store them. This programming is temporary.
Starting Programmed Order: Press PROGRAMMING BUTTON (y or 3@) and then Play (d).
23. MP3 Functions
Playing MP3s: Insert an MP3 CD. Select CD using FUNCTION (o or 2@). Press Play (d). View ID3 tag information by pressing FIND (2() and holding for two seconds.
Album/Track Selection: For CDs with multiple albums, use PROGRAM SELECTION buttons (2& or 3)) to select albums or tracks. Play using (d).
Search Functions: Press FIND (2() to enter search mode. Use buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!) to find titles or albums by letter or number. Press Play (d) to play the selected item. Pressing FIND (2() twice initiates album search.
Displaying File Information: While playing an MP3 title, press and hold FIND (2() for two seconds to show file name, artist, and album title. Press again to return to normal display.
Programming MP3 Titles: Stop playback. Use PROGRAMMING BUTTON (y or 3@) and selection buttons (g, h, 2%, 3!) to program a playback order. This is temporary.
MP3 Repeat Function: Press REPEAT (t or 2#) to repeat a single track, all tracks, or the current album. Press multiple times to cycle through modes. Press four times to stop repeat.
24. USB and Memory Card Functions
Play MP3s from USB sticks, MS, SD, or MMC memory cards. Insert the media into the respective connection (4) for USB, 3* for memory card). Select CARD-USB using FUNCTION (o or 2@). Press Play (d). Album and track search functions are similar to CD MP3 playback.
25. Cleaning and Care
Warning: Never open the appliance housing. Do not immerse components in water or other liquids. Prevent liquids from entering the housing.
Cleaning the Casing: Unplug the unit. Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth.
26. Disposal
Product Disposal: Dispose of the micro-system, subwoofer, and loudspeakers through a professional disposal company or your local facility. Do not dispose of with normal household waste. Follow local regulations.
Battery Disposal: Batteries may contain toxic substances. Dispose of them according to legal regulations and never with household waste.
