- Do not place candles or open fire sources on the appliance.
- Use the appliance only in dry rooms.
- Never allow fluids or objects of any kind to enter the appliance.
- Do not place water-filled receptacles (e.g., flower vases) on the appliance.
- Position the appliance close to an easily accessible electrical wall socket.
- Do not use an extension cable. In case of danger, the plug must be quickly and easily accessible.
- Do not open the casing or attempt to repair the appliance yourself, as this voids the warranty and compromises safety. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist firm or the service centre.
⚠️ To avoid burn and other injuries:
- Place the appliance in an open and well-ventilated area to prevent heat pockets.
- Never cover the ventilation openings.
- Avoid close proximity to heat sources (e.g., direct solar radiation, heaters, other appliances).
- Do not allow children or elderly persons to use the appliance unsupervised, as they may not fully assess potential dangers.
Electro-magnetic fields: This appliance operates below legal limits for electric smog. For maximum safety, especially in bedrooms, placing the appliance about half a meter from the bed is recommended, as fields are negligible at this distance.
ℹ️ Notice: Check the batteries of the power failure protection system at least once per year and replace them if necessary.
The appliance is fitted with anti-slip rubber pads. Due to variations in furniture surfaces and cleaning agents, it's possible some substances could affect the rubber. If necessary, place an anti-slip mat under the appliance.

Connection and Power
Before operating, ensure the appliance is in good working condition.
Power failure protection
Insert two 1.5V Mignon (R6/LR6/AA) batteries into the battery compartment ⑮ at the rear. This preserves the time and alarm settings during a mains power failure. The correct time will automatically reappear upon return of mains power.
ℹ️ Notice: The alarm, radio, and display do not function on battery power alone.
Insert the power plug into an easily accessible wall socket. This allows for quick disconnection in case of malfunction.
ℹ️ Notice: Rechargeable batteries cannot be charged via the battery connection. In case of extended power failure, clock and alarm times may need re-adjustment.
Setting the Clock
When first using the appliance or if the time needs adjustment:
ℹ️ NOTE: Time and alarm settings can be made without batteries, but the appliance must be connected to mains power. Power failure protection will not be active.
- While holding down the Button TIME ②:
- Press or hold the Button HOUR ⑤ to adjust the hours. Release when the desired hour is shown on the Display ⑧.
- Press or hold the Button MINUTE ⑥ to adjust the minutes. Release when the desired minute is shown on the Display ⑧.

ℹ️ NOTE: For improved FM reception, slowly move the end of the wire aerial ⑰ in various directions. Once the best reception is found, secure the aerial in place (e.g., with adhesive tape). AM reception uses a built-in aerial; repositioning the appliance may improve reception.
