Packing Contents
The package includes the MAG CORELIQUID A15 240 and MAG CORELIQUID A15 360 liquid CPU coolers. Components typically include the cooler itself (radiator, tubing, pump/block assembly), mounting hardware for various CPU sockets, fans, and a user manual.
Installation
This section details the installation process for different CPU sockets.
Intel 1700 Socket Installation
- Step 1: Place the backplate (I1) behind the motherboard, aligning it with the mounting holes around the CPU socket.
- Step 2: Attach the Intel mounting brackets (I2) to the standoffs on the backplate, securing them with screws (I3).
- Step 3: Apply thermal paste to the CPU (if not pre-applied). Place the CPU cooler block (G) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting posts with the brackets. A red arrow indicates the downward motion.
- Step 4: Place the mounting brackets (N) onto the cooler block's posts and insert screws (I2) through the brackets into the cooler block.
- Step 5: Tighten the screws (I2) in a diagonal pattern using a screwdriver to secure the cooler block evenly. Red circular arrows indicate the tightening motion.
Intel 1851 Socket Installation
- Step 1: Place the backplate (I1) behind the motherboard, aligning it with the mounting holes around the CPU socket.
- Step 2: Attach the Intel mounting brackets (I2) to the standoffs on the backplate, securing them with screws (I3).
- Step 3: Apply thermal paste to the CPU. Place the CPU cooler block (G) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting posts with the brackets. A red arrow indicates the downward motion. A zoomed view shows the LGA-1851 offset kit, indicating specific bracket positioning.
For Intel Core Ultra 9 & 7, use screw hole position 2 on the bracket. For Intel Core Ultra 5, use position 1. This ensures optimal cooling performance.
AMD AM5 / AM4 Socket Installation
- Step 1: Attach the AMD mounting brackets (A1) to the motherboard, aligning them with the CPU socket mounting holes. Red arrows indicate the placement direction.
- Step 2: Apply thermal paste to the CPU. Place the CPU cooler block (G) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting posts with the AMD brackets. A red arrow indicates the downward motion.
- Step 3: Place the mounting brackets (N) onto the cooler block's posts and insert screws (I2) through the brackets into the cooler block.
- Step 4: Tighten the screws (I2) in a diagonal pattern using a screwdriver to secure the cooler block evenly. Red circular arrows indicate the tightening motion.
Radiator Fan Installation
Attach the fans to the radiator using the provided screws. Ensure the fans are oriented correctly for airflow (typically blowing air through the radiator).
Connection
Connect the cooler to the motherboard and system fans.
For motherboards without JAF connector:
Connect the PUMP_FAN cable to the PUMP_FAN header on the motherboard. Connect the ARGB_V2 cable to the ARGB header. Connect the CPU_FAN cable to the CPU_FAN header.
For motherboards with JAF connector:
Connect the PUMP_FAN cable to the PUMP_FAN header. Connect the JAF cable to the JAF header on the motherboard.
Note: It is recommended that users set the fan/pump speed duty to greater than 20%. This product uses ARGB GEN2 LEDs and supports Intel 800 and AMD 800 series JAF_2 or JAF_1 motherboards, compatible with Mystic Light.
